One for anyone who wants to feel more confident walking into the gym!

One of the biggest barriers to getting started in the gym is simply not knowing what to do when you get there.

If that sounds familiar, give this simple full-body workout a go:
• 12 Seated Rows
• 12 Kettlebell Squats
• 12 Dumbbell Lateral Raises
• 12 Cable Chest Flys

Repeat for 3 rounds and focus on moving well rather than lifting as heavy as possible.

If you’d like a bit of help building confidence in the gym, feel free to send me a message.

I think one of the reasons I’ve always loved exercise is that it forces me to be present.

For that hour, there’s no thinking about work, the endless to-do list, or what other people need. It’s one of the few times in the day where I can switch off from the outside world and focus on me, my body, and what I need in that moment.

And I know I’m not the only one. A lot of the clients I work with feel exactly the same.

The fitness benefits are great, but sometimes having an hour that’s just for you is the biggest win of all. Especially in a PT session when you have someone there to look after you for a change.

If you’re looking for a bit of accountability, support, and some dedicated time carved out for yourself each week, feel free to drop me a message about PT 💛

As your PT, of course I notice the obvious signs of progress — the weights getting heavier, your form improving, the increase in reps.

But sometimes it’s the broader, unexpected wins that mean the most.

Getting stronger and fitter shouldn’t just improve your performance in the gym; it should have a wider impact on your everyday life.

Maybe it’s carrying all the shopping in one trip, getting up and down from the floor more comfortably while gardening, or reaching that top shelf again after shoulder surgery.

Those little moments when a client suddenly realises things just feel better are some of my favourite conversations to have.

Because that’s what it’s really about — building a stronger body that supports the life you want to live.

I know starting (or restarting) your fitness journey can feel overwhelming.

Especially when you’re busy, tired, juggling work/life/everyone else… and somehow expected to magically know what to do in the gym 🙃

It’s the same story for almost everyone….

They just:
• don’t know where to start
• lack confidence in the gym
• have fallen out of routine
• feel achey, stiff, or disconnected from their body
• or are simply fed up of starting again every Monday.

And honestly? That’s where support, structure, and accountability make all the difference.

If you saw yourself somewhere in this carousel… you’re probably exactly who I help 💛

If you want to train at home, or the gym feels busy and a bit overwhelming… here’s how to build a simple full body workout using just one kettlebell or a dumbbell.

1️⃣ Start with a compound overhead press
I like a clean and press or a lift into press because it works shoulders, core, and legs while getting the heart rate up too. Great bang for your buck.

2️⃣ Add a back exercise
A single arm row is a great option. It helps target each side individually and builds upper body strength and posture.
Short on time? Do both arms together.

3️⃣ Choose a chest exercise
A simple floor press is ideal. Safe, effective, and great for chest, shoulders, and triceps.
Single side or both together depending on what equipment you have.

4️⃣ Add a leg exercise
Lunges are a brilliant all-rounder. They build leg strength, challenge balance, and help iron out side-to-side imbalances.

5️⃣ Finish with core
Pick something simple like scissors, a sit-up, or a lateral crunch.
Hold the weight above the chest if you want to increase the challenge.

Save this for your next workout.
Simple works when you do it well.
