AUGUST. WHAT A MONTH! 📱 📈

August has been a pretty special one for Eaton Socon FC!

And we wanted to take a moment to say a massive thank you to everyone who has been following, liking, commenting, sharing and supporting our content. ❤️

Across Facebook & Instagram in August, we had:

💬 19,289 engagements

That's thousands of people watching, interacting with and supporting everything happening at Eaton Socon FC.

A huge part of that is down to Jungle Moon Studio, who look after our social media and help bring everything happening around the club to life online, as well as, designing and editing our match day programmes. 📕

But there's something pretty special about the person behind it all...

Vicky from Jungle Moon Studio is one of our own. 🦅

As well as running our social media and creating content for the club, Vicky is also a player here at Eaton Socon FC and is currently captaining our Women's Team for her third season.

So when you see our teams, players, matchdays and everything that makes this club what it is across our social media, it's being created by someone who is part of the club, on and off the pitch.

🔥 WHAT A WEEKEND OF FOOTBALL COMING UP! 🔥

We’ve got a huge weekend ahead at Eaton Socon FC, with ALL of our teams in action! 🦅

And with four of those teams playing at the Pro-Lifting Community Stadium, we’re expecting a brilliant atmosphere and plenty of support around the club! 🙌

There’s league football getting underway for our Women’s Team, Vets, U16s and newly formed U14s, while our Men’s First Team and Reserves look to continue their unbeaten league start.

There’s plenty to get excited about, so make sure you know where you need to be this weekend!

A last-minute equaliser earns Eaton Socon a point against New Bradwell St Peter! 🦅

The first 10 minutes looked promising for the Eagles, going up 1-0, but New Bradwell soon found their rhythm and took control of the game.

Even down to 10 men from the second half, New Bradwell managed to hold on to their 1–2 lead until the closing stages.

But Eaton weren’t done yet… 👀

A headed touch from Alleyne found the back of the net in the final minute to make it 2–2 and secure a share of the points! ⚽️

Player of the Match for the Reserves goes to Oba Ettah! 🦅

Last season’s top goalscorer made his mark in Saturday’s game, putting in a strong performance before the match was unfortunately abandoned after 72 minutes.

Despite the result potentially not standing, we’ll still be recognising the hard work and performances our players put in. 👏

A winning game turned to abandonment! ⚡

The Reserves team took the 3 - 1 lead against March Town United U23 at home. However, the weather took a turn... massive downpour and lightning nearby which resulted in immediate abandonment of the game.

Throughout the game, the Reserves showed a great performance with Oba Ettah putting 2 in the back of the net, and a debut goal from new-joiner Karen Crow!

Let's hope they can keep the points for the abandoned game. 🦅
