Saturday's session focused on passing and catching.
We encouraged the straight follow through of the arms to our target rather than a swing of the arms so that accuracy would increase.
To develop power in our pass, we focused on 3 points;
๐ hand positioning on either side of the ball, rather than top and bottom of the ball
๐ placing the ball on our hip in order to force power through the ball
๐ push through the ball within our pass to generate more force in the follow through
When we worked on our catching, we focused on not catching with outstretched arms but to have them bent and soft with hands facing inwards (Burger hands ๐).
This helps with what a game situation would be like as our ball carrying would be in an ideal position to then execute the above points and complete a successful pass to a team mate.
