Now a couple of years since designing and redesigning the jigs, they’ve accounted for a hell of a lot of fish whether abroad or on home seas. Very versatile in the beach that we use them casting or vertical jigging, be it from the boat / kayak and for shore jigging too.

One of the reasons we feel they work so well is that being a type of needle jig they are great to use in any resistance of tide or wind, they’ll drop quickly through the water column and yet are great for cutting through wind when casting.

The inshore selection of 20g, 30g, 40g and 60g come in 4 colours and with twin anti rust hooks

The offshore selections of 200g, 300g and 450g are designed with depth and max reflection in mind with 3 colours designed for maximum visibility. These heavier jigs come armed with twin 10/0 meat hooks and designed for the tuna and for deeper places like Norway and further afield.

Cheers to all the groups who’ve booked recently, had some banging days out of other some great folk.

As we approach the end of August which is traditionally a tough month, we look forward to some Autumn fishing which traditionally has been the best time of the year provided we can get out.

Hope the the weather gods will be on our side this year on our trip to Jersey in a few weeks time.

3 of us are going so far and happy to take as many kayaks as needed up to 6 people.

We’ve tried to accommodate some shorter trips for people if they want to fly in and fly out, or people can get the ferry with us, or during the week.
Obviously we don’t know the weather yet, and if we aren’t full by then people can jump on it closer to the time once people can see clearance.

The trip will be guided by Joe and Laurie’s lures, as per usual, on the kayaks and on the shore we are aiming to fish really hard for most of the week and obviously have some time to explore the island too. The island offers some decent shore fishing with baits and lures, while also awesome for some inshore kayak fishing in amongst the amazing ground that’s available to fish. We will be taking the whole tackle shed with us including big shore rods and all of our lure gear too. Can’t wait to hit some of the best top water fishing grounds the UK has to offer.

First decentish one in a while. This one was taken on a 40g bomb squad in tiger orange, fished very slowly on a straight retrieve. I’d argue it’s one of the best soft plastics when you consider value / longevity / effectiveness. Certainly one of the most successful we’ve used and they last well after being smashed by fish, also dont seem to recall any tails being bitten off by wrasse.

Eclipse session was super cool last night! Can’t really get any flatter and dreamy than it was. The fish on the other hand this week are being very finicky, a similar trend to the past 6 weeks. The high pressure is making things tricky fishing wise, but that didn’t stop Max and Will last night who persevered until they found some!

A few fish from over the weekend cheers to Aaron and Jacob who battled hard under the sun for some fish.

We have a pretty unforgettable trip lined up for Wednesday- the solar eclipse.
There’s some glassy, flat and sunny conditions expected for Wednesday evening during the eclipse. Should be a memorable one for sure.
Already a couple of bookings in for it, there’s also a few spaces. But unusually this time if not fully booked we’ll do a heavily reduced rate for anyone who wished to simply kayak with the group who will be fishing.
50% off so about £50 for the trip, which predicts us to have some much dimmer light for an hour or two while the eclipse passes. Set to be a pretty surreal experience.

Got a couple of spaces available for our guided trip to Jersey in September. We are there for a week and people can come for the whole week or there is an option to come over for a shorter stay and just fish a couple of days. If people want to fly in / get ferry we can get you from the airport / the harbour.

The trip will be guided by myself and co guide Laurie (Laurie’s Lures), and we’ll have a handful of pedal kayaks over there for people to use. On the days we don’t kayak fish we will be shore fishing, basically a full week of fishing.

Accommodation is available from about £60 per night, with a day rate of £100 for the fishing. Priority will be given to anyone on the full week package, and then we will have options for single / double days once we know the numbers.
