🌊🚣‍♂️ What a brilliant morning! 🚣‍♀️🌊
A fantastic row on Sunday from Solva to Porthclais and back this morning, with sunshine, calm seas and some stunning Pembrokeshire scenery all the way. Great rowing, lots of laughs and a well-earned stop for coffee, cake and ice cream made for a perfect outing.
A big thank you to Porthclais Harbour Authority for welcoming us, and to the team at the Porthclais kiosk for keeping us fuelled and refreshed before the return journey.
Most importantly, a huge shout out to Alan Smith for organising the whole trip. From sorting boats and crews to keeping everyone updated, there was a lot of work behind the scenes and we all really appreciate the effort. 👏
Thanks as well to everyone who rowed, coxed and helped out. A great morning on the water and another reminder of how lucky we are to have such an amazing coastline on our doorstep.

*Due to unfortunate circumstances beyond their control, the Sion Cwilt Joint League race will not be able to go ahead & has been removed from the fixture list.

Cracking afternoon not racing for the Frostbite race, instead we did a load of taster rows for visiting locals who loved their first longboat experience! Thank you to all club members who came down to support and row, especially Lyn Jenkins who provided a much needed tea and mince pie at the end of the proceedings! Here’s to a great end to 2025 for Clwb Rhwyfo Solfach Solva Rowing Club and definitely looking forward to 2026 season.
