My new favourite beach, Pembrokeshire

Two-mile-long Newgale beach has recently become my favourite UK surf spot. A trip last September saw us out on the water each day – attempting to surf huge waves on Friday and paddleboarding by Monday. Brilliant hire shop, Newsurf, offers boards from £11 a day . Impressive views of Newgale can be found along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path to the north. Top tip – a fantastic pub/B&B, Victoria Inn Brewhouse, is a mere two-minute drive inland, offering comfortable rooms, sunset views and ales brewed onsite.

Our stream running through Southwood Estate was full of foam today. Just curious if others noticed. The dogs had to miss out on a drink!!

Survey vessel commissioned by Vodafone (who are planning to run a data cable from Ireland to brawdy) . Got into difficulties as it tried to leave on yesterday's high tide. A tug boat got here too late to pull her off this morning so they wait for the next high tide while securing a new anchor in the beach.
It is a 150 tonne German ex naval tank landing craft so not to worried about being parked at Newgale..
