Set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside, and with the Howgill fells forming a magnificent backdrop, the picturesque course has been described by many as one of the most scenic and tranquil in the North of England. The course is easily accessible being just 1 mile from the small market town of Sedbergh, 10 miles from Kendal and only 5 miles from the M6 motorway (Junction 37). The par 70, 5

913 yard course was professionally designed and constructed making the most of the naturally undulating parkland. With several tree lined holes and fairways crossing or adjacent to both the rivers Dee and Rawthey, the emphasis is placed on accuracy rather than distance. With well guarded greens (made to US PGA specification) and water features aplenty the course provides a test for golfers of all abilities. Different tee positions for the back-nine make Sedbergh Golf Club one of the most interesting courses in the country. The clubhouse has also recently undergone a complete renovation and now offers a full restaurant menu. The menu can be viewed under the 'Menu' tab on the left hand side. The clubhouse is open to both members and non-members and we can also cater for large groups upon request. Restaurant Opening Times:
Thursdays 11.00 - 19.00
Fridays & Saturdays 10.30 - 20.30
Sundays 12.00 - 18.30
Mondays 11.00 - 17.00

Seeking a Weekend Team Member (18+)

Weekend Position – Every Sunday, with opportunities for additional shifts, including some Saturdays.

Sedbergh Golf Club is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic person to join our team.

Duties include:
*Greeting members and visitors.
*Serving food and drinks.
*Assisting in the kitchen.
*Providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:
*Must be 18 years of age or over.
*Friendly, hardworking, and reliable.
*Good communication and customer service skills.
*Available to work every Sunday, with the opportunity to work additional shifts, including some Saturdays.

Previous experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.

We're serving roasts from 12pm–4.30pm with a choice of:

Steve, Ruth, and everyone at Sedbergh Golf Club are deeply saddened by the passing of Dally.

While we fully respect Dally's family's wishes for privacy at this difficult time, we wanted to share just how much he meant to us, the Golf Club team, and the many members who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Dally came to work for Steve almost by chance. After giving him a lift home from Kendal, Dally, in his typically colourful language, asked if there was any work going at Ingmire. Steve's reply was simply, "I think we should be able to sort something out."

It was at Ingmire that Dally's exceptional craftsmanship as a skilled stonemason quickly became evident. His legacy will forever live on in the very walls of Ingmire Hall, standing as a lasting testament to his talent, dedication, and pride in his work.

In 2000, Dally followed Steve and Ruth to Sedbergh Golf Club, where his hard work, determination, and unwavering commitment helped create the club we know and love today. His contribution to the club cannot be overstated, and he will always be remembered as an important part of its history.

As a club, we would like to honour Dally's memory by creating a seating area dedicated to him, along with the planting of several trees in his name.

If anyone would like to contribute towards this tribute, please come and speak to a member of the team. Any support would be greatly appreciated as we celebrate the life and legacy of a truly special man.
