First weekend of the new season and we had some brilliant football from all of our players
With a mixed bag of results this weekend all our teams worked hard and tried hard

Saturday-
Dormanstown Rovers u12s girls Zinc visited Northallerton for their 1st ever game of the season and Wow! What a game it was, from the moment the whistle blew the girls worked their socks off, with a few players short all of the girls worked in positions they have never played before. With the back line blocking shots like a brick wall to the rest of the girls pace Northallerton could not keep up, 7 minutes up and Babs out of nowhere pops one in the net assisted by porsha with a long strike from the back. With an equaliser shortly after we had a little more work to do, Ava our legendary goalkeeper blocking shots from all angles, half time slowed a little due to losing our very own Ella to a sad injury to her knee, but as stubborn as she is she stayed and cheered on her team . The girls continued to work hard giving 100% effort throughout, Northallerton popped a couple of shots that could not be saved, with Northallerton 3 goals up the girls stepped it up finishing with a cracking strike from Babs to finish, sadly a loss for the team but a win on effort.
With an opposition player award going to porsha and a managers player award to Eliza, all the girls were outstanding throughout. Well done girls ⚽️
Today, Dormanstown Rovers Girls Carbon took on Middleton Rangers. We’ve met many times before, and it’s always been a fantastic, end-to-end game — today was no different! ⚽️
There were chances at both ends, with some great shots and brilliant saves from both teams. It took us a little while to wake up and settle into the game, and unfortunately, we let our guard down, allowing Middleton to score three goals inside 10 minutes.
But the girls came out fighting in the second half! 💪 Alylah produced a moment of magic, hammering home a right-footed volley into the top corner! 🚀⚽️
The game finished 4–1, but there were plenty of positives to take from it. Hopefully, those first-game nerves are now out of the way and we can build from here.

Dormanstown platinum girls welcomed TIBS for our first game of the season on a very windy morning
It was a very physical game that was very closely matched til TIBS scored 2 quick goals before half time the girls came out 2nd half and gave it a very good go
Never giving up unlucky not to get back Into the game TIBS added a 3rd late on as we were chasing a goal back
Great effort from the girls
Nice to get back into the thick of it and get used to playing each week again

Dormanstown rovers u13s
A great home game against Alstar Colts today. With sickness and injury leaving us with just 8 players, Alstar kindly matched us with 8.
A big welcome to Jack on his debut, he had a fantastic first game. With our usual back line leaving over the summer, Finn, Robert, Alfie and Arnie stepped up and did a brilliant job. Coby made some great saves to keep the score down.
Ollie picked up both assists, while Alfie grabbed two goals. Luca worked tirelessly across RW, RB and CB, doing a fantastic job wherever needed.

Dormanstown rovers Titanium,
Titaniums didn't get the result we wanted but showed some fantastic football, great team work, fast pace/passing, using the width of the pitch. We switched off in parts which gave the opposition chance to break through. We kept pushing though right to the whistle. Onwards and upwards for next week..
Dormanstown Rovers u9 alloy welcomed greatham FC which was our first league game as a team some lads not played football before to some played for a few months so the game started quick with a few chances going missing then came the first goal when Reagan passed it back to Blake of a corner who rifled one into the top corner to get the lads off to a great start. Then 2 minutes later the boys piling the pressure on and Reagan chased there keeper down and blocked a kick that sent it into the back net then made a few changes and we let 2 quick goals in to make the game level. With the game end to end Oliver then stepped up with a bull dozing run and went through and slotted the ball home which took us into the break 3-2 up. The second half started like the first end to end chances either way but then stepped up Blake with a clearance which ran through and megged the keeper then they broke back and got another one back then straight after the a great ball through saw Reagan grab his second with a great finish and sealed the game.

Dormanstow Rovers U10s welcomed Redcar Rangers for our first game of the season.
Missing our goalkeeper for the game so Archie and Theo both played a half and made some cracking saves between them.
The team were missing their shooting boots today and were wasteful in front of goal, on another day things could have been different.
Well done to Carson who not only scored on his first league game but was also awarded Coaches player of the match.
Scarlett also on her league debut was given opposition player of the match, she was like a mini Beckenbauer at the back.
Work to be done but the team has plenty of potential to work on.
Dormanstown Rovers U8 Silver 3-6 Riverside juniors Pink -
We were 2nd to an excellent side today who used their size and experience to best us on the pitch.
That being said our boys and girls battled to the very end in what was a very wet and cold Sunday morning.
They all chipped in with some excellent defending where required and the link up play going forward was brilliant , breaking down the opposition with some quick 1-2’s and mazy runs.

Dormanstown Rovers U11 gold lost 5-0 to 21 all star Aces. It was a wet and tough game but they battled through. Mason got coaches payer of the match and oppositions for his fantastic keeping, great listening skills and using his voice to command the goal. Flynn also got parents player for being positive, remaining consistent throughout the game and working hard.

Well what can I say about our game did not really have to coach today the boys were class from kickoff to the final whistle they ran all game all done the jobs that was asked of them scored plenty of goals 12in total and kept a clean sheet as well was a great day had by all well done boys let's keep it going
The boys started bright, testing the GK early on and forcing him into some early saves.

Dormo finally went 1-0 up after Ginge’s corner found Lincoln, whose effort was tapped in by Dan.
Just before half time, a mix-up at the back allowed Cargo to level things up.
Half time: 1-1
The 2nd half started in dominant fashion from Dormo, with Elliot’s shot being saved off the line.
More pressure from Dormo saw Leland test the GK again, while Haz went on a mazy run, beating 4 players before dragging his shot just wide.
Ginge then smashed the post from distance with a low drive as Dormo continued to pile on the pressure.
Unfortunately, Dormo couldn’t find the winner and, with around 10 minutes to go, Cargo scored from a corner after some poor marking.
The lads still tried to find an equaliser but just couldn’t find a way through.
The boys played some amazing football today and created plenty of chances, but unfortunately had nothing to show for it.

A frustrating result considering the football we played, but plenty of positives to take from the performance. ⚽️
