*I’VE GOT A TEXT!!* Contending for promotion as our team number 1 just wasn’t enough for Luke Mabbott. His new adventure has taken him off to South Africa, to find love in the Love Island Villa. The sky is now the limit, we just hope that he will remember us in his winning speech! Good Luck Mab from all of us at Redcar Squash!

Redcar Handicap Champion 2020 - Alastair McLeod

We had a great evening with 2 fab games. Wilf and Ben were first up in the 3/4 play off. With some great marking from Adam (and a little help from Brian), it went down to the wire, with Wilf pipping Ben to the win 21-20 in the 5th!!

Next up were Alastair and Jack. Alastair (potentially unknowingly) took the tactical route, pushing Jack to a -5 start in the games which really mattered. At 2-2 it was all to play for but Alastair made a great start that was too much for Jack to claw back.

A triumphant win for Alastair on his own Lockforce sponsored court 🏆

If you’ve been down the club in the last couple of days you will have seen our new addition to the outside of the squash clubs doors.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank Les Dunn, a long standing member and former club number 1, for donating the sign to the club as part of our renovations for the new season.

Well done to the rising stars of Redcar squash club, Redcar had 4 juniors making it to the final of their age group in the county closed held this weekend.

Well done to everyone that took part yesterday and congratulations to the following people

Charlotte, becoming U11 Girls county winner.
Wilf, becoming U11 boys county champion
Ellie-May, becoming U13 Girls champion
Erica, becoming U17 girls Finalist

We wish these and all the other rising stars of Redcar junior squash club a successful season ahead.
