🚨 A Friendly Reminder to All Dog Walkers & Ground Users 🚨

We kindly ask everyone using the cricket ground to please:

πŸ• Pick up after your dogs and dispose of waste responsibly.
🚫 Keep dogs off the cricket square and out of all roped-off areas.
πŸ” Take all food waste and litter home with you or use the appropriate bins.

Unfortunately, we have recently seen an increase in dog fouling on and around the cricket square, as well as food waste being left on the outfield. This creates extra work for our volunteers and can affect the safety and quality of the playing surface.

Please help us keep the ground clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support.

Match report for PRTCC 2nd XI 🏏

PRTCC 2s v Lychett

Toss won by Lychett and they elected to bat.

Team news in came Paul Bowey and Leon Adkins

Leon (2-42) and Ben Linley-Munro (0-66) used the new ball well. It was Leon who got the first wicket by bowling M.Tatchell (1). Skipper T Phillips (28) and T.Maclode (17) both looked good until Liam Riley (1-35) removed Maclode and then the king of the rock Jody Locke (1-27) has Phillips caught by Dave Adkins

Portland looked like they were getting on top with Leon bowling S.Hayman (14) and Dave Adkins (1-25) had J.Woan (5) caught by Sam Linley-Munro then Max Sherratt (2-40) trapped G.Chittenden (6) lbw. J.Blankley (80not out) batted really well and was joined at the crease by R.Gill who hit 66 off not many balls but was cleaned up by Max. J.cole 1 not out helped Lychett to 242 -7

Triangles reply started slowly due to tight bowling from O.Tatchell (0-35) and V.Bankley (1-31). Triangle lost R.Emery (27) ran out by Woan. Young Finn Hatchard (4) pushed up the order looked defensively strong until T.Maclode(1-27) bowled a decent ball that got through Finn's defenses. Leon (9) was next to be out done by a good delivery but this time by J.Blankley (1-32). Sam came in next to push on the reply with 24 from 24 balls including five 4s but he was bowled by Bankley. Stu sugg(5) was ran out by O.Tatchell after a mix up caused by Dave Adkins. Liam Riley (4 not out) came in for the last two deliveries and walked off with Dave (79 not out) with Portland only managing to reach 170-6.

We move on to Saturday when we entertain the free scoring Flying Eagles at Reforne.

PRTCCc 1st XI

Symene beat Portland by 180 runs

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Symene Sports CC posted an imposing total of 285 before being bowled out in exactly 45 overs. The innings was anchored by two superb performances in the top-middle order. Sam Challis led the scoring with a brilliant 81, closely supported by Sam Good, who made a damaging 75. Contributions from opener Wes Lewis (26) and Bradley Wilkinson (14) helped push the score out of reach.
Among the Portland Red Triangle bowlers, Joel Davey was the standout performer, picking up excellent figures of 4 for 23 across his 9 overs. Joe Adkins (3/55) and Rich Samuel (2/45) also chipped in with wickets, but they were unable to halt Symene's aggressive run rate.
Chasing 286 for victory, Portland Red Triangle CC's batting lineup never found its rhythm, collapsing to 105 all out in just 24.1 overs. Captain Joe Adkins offered the most resistance with a top score of 31, while Matthew Barrett managed 23.
Symene's bowling attack proved relentless. Orran Maudsley went through the middle and lower order, claiming figures of 4 for 18 in his 6 overs. Ethan Robertson (2/31) and George Wyrill (2/23) set the tone early with two wickets apiece, while Luke King wrapped up the final wicket to secure a dominant 180-run win for Symene Sports CC.
