Osprey Leisure Centre Portland's leisure centre run by the community for the communities of Weymouth and Portland and West Dorset. Swimming, sports hall, gym and cafe.

Based on Portland, just 3 miles out of Weymouth with excellent sporting facilities including 25 metre deep water 6 lane pool, 3 gymnasiums, squash courts, spinning studio, dance/fitness suite. Large main sports hall for 5 a side football, badminton, indoor cricket. Specialised classes include pilates, yoga, cardio/rehab classes, circuit sessions. New cafe and outdoor seating area with free wifi. C

Please note the hall is out of use today therefore there will be no soft play session at 10am. The sessions will return next week

We are open as normal on bank holiday Monday .
All swimming sessions will run as normal . As will swimming lessons .
There will be no cardio active class at 8:30am or RIG class at 7:20pm.

Seniors class at 9:30am and the HIIT class at 6:30pm will run as normal .

Thanks to our fitness instructor Dawn , her cardio and senior classes as well as all the volunteers that recently helped with our class and cake fundraising event , the class and coffee morning raised over £1000 towards our fundraising efforts to raise money to replace the sportshall roof , more information on how you can help us with this challenge will be announced over the coming weeks , we will also be announcing more fundraising events over the course of the year to help us raise as much money towards this project as possible .

Due to some maintenance works over the next week please note the following areas will be closed on these dates and times :

Ladies toilets - Thurs 21st May between 12-3

Ladies changing rooms - Tues 26 May between 8:30-11:30am and Thurs 28th May between 8:30am-3pm.

Please note we have scheduled these works in during quieter times in order to minimise any disruption .

Please note when the ladies toilets are closed customers are asked to use the toilet in the cafe , when the ladies changing rooms are closed the toilets will still remain operational .

Due to a staffing issue please note we are having to open slightly later this morning , instead of opening at 7am we will not be able to open until 8am, we apologise for any inconvenience this has caused especially for the people who have turned up for the 7:15am lane swim .
