Get ready for a fantastic day of rugby, food, drinks and community spirit as our Annual 7s Tournament returns!

🔥 Over 12 teams
🍔 Plenty of food available
🍺 Bar open throughout the day
🏉 Fast-paced 7s rugby from start to finish
👏 A brilliant atmosphere for players, supporters and families alike

The first game kick-off time is still to be confirmed and will be announced as soon as the final tournament schedule is completed.

A massive thank you to everyone who has already volunteered to help on the day. Your support is hugely appreciated and events like this simply wouldn't happen without you. ❤️

🏉 Well... here we go again! 😅

Just when we thought we'd got our shiny new Counties 3B league graphic sorted, the league has gone and changed it on us!

The league has now increased to **12 teams**, with Dinnington 2XV and Keighley 2XV joining the competition for the 2026/27 season.

That means our opponents for next season are:

🔹 Castleford
🔹 Halifax
🔹 Hemsworth
🔹 Keighley 2XV
🔹 Maltby
🔹 Moortown 2XV
🔹 Old Brods 2XV

We're looking forward to some familiar rivalries, some new challenges, and another competitive season ahead.

Our Annual 7s Tournament is fast approaching, and we're looking for local businesses, charities, community groups, and independent traders who would like to host a stall on the day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business, promote your organisation, and be part of one of the club's biggest events of the year, with hundreds of players, supporters, and visitors expected throughout the day.

🌟 Interested in hosting a stall?

Whether you offer food, crafts, clothing, gifts, services, fundraising activities, or community information, we'd love to hear from you.

🙌 Volunteers Needed
We're also looking for volunteers to help make the day a success. Whether you can spare a few hours or the whole day, any help would be greatly appreciated. Roles may include:
✅ Event set-up and pack-down
✅ Parking assistance
✅ Gate and raffle support
✅ General event assistance
✅ Helping around the clubhouse

As we build towards our annual Hemsworth RUFC 7s Tournament, we're looking for raffle prizes to help make the day even more special and raise valuable funds for the club.

Do you own a business, know someone who does, or have an item or experience you could kindly donate?

Every prize, big or small, is greatly appreciated and helps support our club and community.

It is with the greatest sadness that we extend our heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to the family of Chris Siddons, a long-standing and much-loved member of Hemsworth RUFC.

For those who knew Chris, you’ll know just how much this club was woven into the fabric of his life.

Hemsworth RUFC wasn’t just somewhere he spent his time — it was part of who he was. His passion, commitment, and presence have left a lasting mark on so many of us.

While one of rugby’s greats has hung up his boots for the final time, his legacy will continue to run through this club, not least through his daughter Lauren, whose dedication as Chairperson carries that same club spirit forward.

From the committee, coaches, players, supporters, and everyone connected with Hemsworth RUFC, we thank Chris for every contribution, every memory, and every moment shared.

The final whistle may have blown, but true club legends are never truly off the pitch.
