Why We’re Doing It 👇
At Hemsworth Hens RUFC, we’re relaunching women’s rugby, but this time, we’re doing it differently.

Not just for trophies.
Not for league points.
But for fun, connection and community.

This season we’re offering T1 Touch Rugby. Completely free to attend... but we’re inviting anyone who can, to give £1 per session as a pay-it-forward donation.

Because while we’re rebuilding our own team, we want to help others build theirs.

💛 Donations will go directly to a local girls’ club who could do with a boost... Whether that’s new kit, extra sessions, or just knowing that someone’s cheering them on.

💡 No experience? No problem.
You don’t need to have played before, and you don’t need to be a club member, just turn up, get involved, and have fun. It’s all about community, fitness, and making new connections.

💡 What is T1 Rugby?

No tackles, no scrums, just teamwork, pace and plenty of laughs.

Play at your own speed; run, jog or walk.

Everyone gets involved, whatever your skill level.

And with the Women’s Rugby World Cup starting this month, there’s never been a better time to show that rugby belongs to everyone, at every level.

This is rugby with no pressure.
No contact.
Just play.

So come join us. You’ll be doing more than playing, you’ll be backing the future of the game too.

🎯 Our focus this season:
In line with the club’s vision, this year is all about development; giving past players a chance to step into coaching, building strong foundations, and creating opportunities for more people to take part in rugby in a way that works for them.

Hit your 5th, 10th, 15th… all the way to 100th session and earn your exclusive shirt, presented in style.
Our first Friday Night Lights event will be Halloween! Friday 31st October 🎃🍕, celebrating our 10th session with shirt presentations, social pizzas and a brilliant club night.

💷 Cost: FREE to play (optional £1 donation to support a local girls’ club)

This isn’t the end of women’s contact rugby at Hemsworth, it’s a chance to regroup, re-coop, and bring back the fun, fitness and friendship that started it all.

Women of SESKU, we want you!

Bored of your daily routine?
Want to build your fitness but don’t like the gym?
Ready to meet a friendly bunch of women?

Why not give rugby a go!

We’ve all said, that’s not really my thing. I wouldn’t be any good at it. I don’t understand the rules. But when you join our team it’s not just about the sport, which we promise you will love! It’s about the family and community we offer. People who have joined with no intention of playing a match ever, have been so hyped after they’ve never left!

Come down tonight and see what it’s all about, a no pressure, fun environment, and did we mention the bar will be open afterwards?!

Huge thanks to the Impact ‘25 initiative for the upcoming womens World Cup!

The club have been granted:
5 sanitary bins
5 sanitary bag dispensers
3 wall mounted sanitary product dispensers
750 organic applicator tampons
1000 organic sanitary pads
5 refill boxes of sanitary bags

This will make a huge impact in going the extra mile to make our club more female friendly! Not only for the women’s team but also the many wives, children and relatives of the men’s team!

It’s that time of year again folks!
Our annual 7’s tournament returns for what promises to be a fun filled day.

The bar will be open, the BBQ will be cooking and hopefully the sun will be shining.

As always our lovely South Yorkshire Referees will be present and free to chat with anyone wanting to get into the reffing game, rugby can’t go ahead with our referees so why not give it a go!
