One week to go. There’s still time to sponsor me. The link will only let you do it in £4 donations for some reason but all of the funds go directly to Mind and are greatly appreciated. The work the do is so essential ✨
This year, I’ve decided to take on my first walking marathon — something that feels both exciting and a little daunting.
As many of you know, I recently completed my Level 4 Mental Health in Fitness qualification. It’s something I care deeply about, because for me, fitness has never just been about the physical side. It’s been a lifeline — whether that’s through yoga, strength training, or simply getting out for a walk to clear my head.
What I’ve come to realise, not just in my own journey but through working with so many of my clients, is how easy it is to drift back into living in our heads. Life gets busy, responsibilities take over, and before we know it, we’ve quietly placed ourselves at the bottom of the list.
The truth is, so many of us are carrying things we don’t always talk about — myself included.
In the UK, around 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem each year, and for young people especially, those numbers are rising. Services are stretched, and too many people still feel like they have to cope on their own.
That’s a big part of why I’m doing this. I’m taking on this marathon to raise awareness and support for Mind — a charity that provides vital help to those who need it most.
If you’re in a position to support, I’d be incredibly grateful. And just as importantly, if you’re going through a tough time, please don’t keep it to yourself.
We’re here for you at Oundle School Sports Centre Whether you need a listening ear, some guidance, or help getting started, we can support you or point you in the right direction — including access to a 12-week supported referral programme.
You’re not alone 🤍
