I’ve gone to post this photo so many times… and every time I had to stop myself, because it was taken during a secret Christmas surprise for Coby’s mummy Buffs Equestrian🎄✨

I’m honestly so grateful to Sophie for allowing Azalea and Coby the chance to build their own little bond and begin their journey together. But really, that journey started long before they ever rode together this summer.

It began with Azalea helping Sophie groom him and pick out his feet,
with a sneaky ba****ck ride in the arena after he’d been exercised,
feeding him candy canes at Christmas,
and helping bring him in from the field.

Coby was quietly waiting for his turn to have his own little girl again.
He was the very best first pony for Sophie when she wasn’t much bigger than Azalea… and now, he’s absolutely loving life being a little girl’s pony all over again and helping teach someone to ride again (He’s a very different ride from Zeus)

I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings for these two — their story feels like it’s only just beginning. 💫💛

Hello I'm Sophie

Just a little bit about me.
I'm 27 years old, and I have been riding horses since the age of 2. I have been horsey mad since a very early age, I have had the pleasure of working on riding schools as a Saturday girl from the age of 8, learning the ropes of looking after the horses and tacking up. I left school at the age of 16 and went to college to do my horse care level 2. Then, I managed to grab myself an apprenticeship to get my horse care/ management level 3. Once I completed that, I went on to work for the Woodland Pytchely Hunt (sadly closed down) for a season and a half. Learning to work alongside working horses. Preparing horses for hunts to a high standard. As well as maintaining the yard while they were out and keeping everything fit and Healthy.
I have also had the pleasure of working for William Fox-Pitt as a groom/rider, working alongside a team of 5 members. I took care of all the day-to-day jobs, as well as preparing horses for competition and being the groom that went to the shows. I also had the pleasure of riding the youngsters all the way through to riding the top 5* horses. This consists of not only hacking but schooling, jumping, and up the gallops. I even got the pleasure of occasional warming up and cooling down and delivering horses to him by the main arena.

Since then, I have managed to get the job at Pippa Funnels, which sadly i turned down due to circumstances. which led me to being in contact with Izzy taylor and doing some part-time work for her.

Since then I have been building my own client tell up. Helping with holiday cover, General yard duties, Riding naughty fresh horses, as well as providing a clipping service through the winter months.
As well as my own business I have been working at an independent veterinary practice as the receptionist dealing with the front of house.
