On Thursday 28th May we are hosting a Charity Netball Tournament at Penryn College in order to raise money for The Netball Development Trust 🎗️
For many of us, netball is far more than just a sport - it’s where we make lifelong friendships, stay active, support our mental wellbeing, and build a strong sense of community while studying away from home. As a volunteer-led club, we understand the challenges that come with keeping grassroots sport accessible and sustainable, especially in local communities where opportunities and funding can be limited. At the same time, we recognise how fortunate we are to have access to facilities, teams, and a supportive university environment 💙💛
That’s why we are raising money for the Netball Development Trust, a charity dedicated to making netball more accessible for young people and communities who may otherwise struggle to take part. Their work helps provide opportunities, equipment, coaching, and support that allow more people to experience the confidence, connection, and enjoyment that sport can bring 🫶
So please if you can bring your friends along and have some fun whilst raising money for charity !!! Teams have to be min 7 players and max 10 players, if you have less then that still come along and we will fit you into a team or make a new one (max 2/3 CSM competitive players per team). To enter a team visit the link in the bio and fill out the form as instructed. The tournament is open to anyone no matter how much or how little netball experience you have 💃🕺
The tournament will be held on the outside courts at Penryn College from 12-5pm however this is just the booking time and the length of the tournament will depend on the number of teams involved. The minimum donation is £2pp (cash on the day), but if you can give more please do or make a donation via the donation link in the bio !!!
