What a way to round off an incredible year at Penryn St Gluvias Cricket Club!

🏆 Ladies & Women — League Champions in their FIRST season!
🏆 2nd XI — League Champions & PROMOTED!
🥉 1st XI — A fantastic 3rd place and ready to push on!

And the biggest win of all? The club is growing! 📈

We’ve doubled our fixtures, doubled our members seen loads of our talented juniors step up into senior cricket, and built a club full of community, volunteers, friendship and, most importantly, FUN! ❤️

A huge congratulations to all our award winners and a massive THANK YOU to every player, coach, volunteer, supporter and family member who has helped make this season so special. 👏

The work doesn’t stop here… winter coaching, indoor leagues and 2027 planning are already underway!

Join us this coming Saturday 12th for our annul presentation evening as we celebrate our amazing achievement's on and off the field of our under 13 and 15s, ladies/girls and our senior sides, its been a year of development and we will celebrate that.

There Will be a Pasty Supper for just £3 and a Karaoke for you to sing and dance to your hearts content if you haven't already get your orders in to us.

So we move on to our newly formed Girls’ & Ladies’ Team — and what a truly amazing first season they have had! 🏏💚

At the start of the season, we had around 8 or 9 girls and ladies. Just five months later, we have built that into a strong, competitive squad of around 24/25 players — a fantastic achievement by everyone involved at the club!

The growth has been so impressive that next season we will be running both softball and hardball teams. To achieve all of this in just five months is something the whole club can be incredibly proud of. 👏

Here is your Ladies’ squad for their final match of an incredible first season!

Tomorrow they take on Newquay Cricket Club Ladies in the County Final, being played at Boconnoc Cricket Club at 10am.

Let’s get behind them and give them all the support we can! 💚

This is our Ladies’ first ever season, and many of the squad had never played cricket before this year. To become West 2 Champions 🏆 and now reach the County Final in their very first season is an incredible achievement.

Whatever the result tomorrow, you have done yourselves and the whole club proud.

Go well, ladies — the whole club is behind you! 💚🏏

Just like that, the season came to an end the same way it started — in disappointing fashion, with the weather being the winner in the end! 🌧️🏏

Our First Team put up a hell of a fight all season, and it was still in their hands going into the final day. Unfortunately, the weather had the final say, with no play possible yesterday.

Congratulations go to Barripper Cricket Club and Hayle Cricket Club on their promotions. 👏 For us, it will be another season in Division Four, but we’ll come back stronger and push forward to achieve our goal next year. 💪

Our Second Team, made up of a mixture of youth and experience, had one goal in mind this year — promotion. It was a massive ask, but with fantastic leadership and commitment from the players, we managed to secure the Division 7 Central title last weekend! 🏆🎉

There have been some standout performances this season, particularly from some of our younger players, with several securing their first league 50s and some even taking their first league five-wicket hauls. A brilliant sign for the future of the club! 👏🏏

Congratulations to everyone at the club for what has been a fantastic season, both on and off the field.

There’s plenty more to come over the winter, with indoor league cricket, winter training and club improvements planned — it’s going to be a busy off-season!

Thanks to everyone who has played, supported and helped the club throughout the season. 💚🏏

Your final squads of the league season, what a weekend its going to possibly be if the weather play ball, our promotion chasing first team currently sitting third have a massive last game as its winner takes all clash at Kernick road as we welcome Hayle Cricket Club who currently sit in second place.
Elsewhere are second team who wrapped up the division 7 central league last weekend despite losing will be looking to finish on a high tomorrow as we travel to Mawnan Cricket Club.
After the games have finish there will be a disco and soe sort of food available it will be good to see as many of you as possibly to celebrate with us what's been a season of progress in all areas of the club.
