No Sunday morning swim this week and here’s some information about the Dambuster which cover a lot of the questions I've been asked this week. Hope this helps and see you a week on Sunday - on the booking system as usual.

📅Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st June is going to be busy weekend at Rutland Water as we see the return of the Rutland 10k run and Dambuster Triathlon.

ℹ️ Please be aware there will be some changes to normal operations at Whitwell early Saturday & Sunday morning to accommodate the events. When visiting please watch out for athletes participating in the race.

⛔Please be aware on Sunday 21st June the Dambuster Triathlon is a closed road bike course, therefore local road closures will be in place with no access to Whitwell car park from 6:30am until 10.00am.

😊 We will be open all as normal from 11am, we look forward to welcoming you!

Well that was a cracking, busy morning at Rutland Water! Watersports Safety Team - you were brilliant and also Claire from Harbour Cafe who arrived early to get all your breakfasts ready! Sue Martin & Sherry from ROWPSC helped me get everyone checked in and Rocketman manned the water-entry as usual.

Some of you may have found Abby from Stamford Sauna Club who was there this morning introducing herself and will be back on Sunday 28th June for 30 & 60 min post-swim sauna opportunities when swimming re-starts after our weeks break for the Dambuster Triathlon. Today marks the start of , and with the hot weather on its way, we understand the temptation to cool off in the water. ​

Tragically, many incidents involve children and young people, showing just how quickly things can go wrong around open water.

We're so proud of our Blue Flag awarded beach, but unsupervised open water swimming can be life-threatening. Cold water, mud and strong currents can catch anyone out - so we provide designated, lifeguarded areas for safer access to the water.​

If you're looking to enjoy the water safely this summer, we offer a range of supervised and managed activities, including open water swim with inspire2tri on Sunday mornings, hire a paddleboard from our Watersports Centre or slip and slide on Aqua Park Rutland .
