Elephant Play Comes to Royal Leamington Spa 🐘🌿

Mill Gardens Play Area in Royal Leamington Spa has been transformed into a distinctive new play destination inspired by the town’s famous elephants, Wilhelmina, Trilby and Haddie.

At the centre of the design is a striking 4-metre-high Robinia elephant, supported by an elephant springer and bespoke elephant slide to bring the local story to life. 🐘✨

The space also includes accessible and sensory play features, with an inclusive seesaw, wheelchair-accessible roundabout, twin trampolines, tactile panels, sensory flowers and a swan-themed springer inspired by the nearby River Leam and gardens. 🌸🦢

Teen Recreation Area at Grayshott 🛹⚽🏀

The new Teen Recreation Area at Grayshott brings together sport, skate, fitness, social space and accessible routes in one carefully designed community facility.

Created for juniors and teenagers, the space offers a varied mix of activities to support active, social and imaginative outdoor use. 🌳

The scheme includes a new MUGA with sports markings and panels for basketball, football and cricket, creating a flexible space for ball games and group play. ⚽🏀🏏

A dedicated skate zone features Rhino Ramps, providing low-level challenge for skaters and scooter users. 🛴🛹

The teen zone includes sphere and lean-back seating, an ACTI’Ninja Trail unit, horizontal bars and a multi-directional ball game, offering places to relax, train, challenge friends and spend time outdoors. 💪✨

To connect the different areas, a SUDS-bond path links the zones to the car park, helping improve access throughout the year. 🚶‍♀️🌦️

As the biggest play area in East Dunbartonshire, it offers a wide variety of play equipment for children of all ages and abilities. The final design was chosen by local residents in Bishopbriggs, making this a fantastic example of community-led investment in play.

We’re delighted to showcase the new Poppy Field Play Area at King’s Meadow Recreation Ground, delivered in partnership with Stowmarket Town Council.
