Good luck to all our members taking part in the Tatton 5 & 10K today! 💛

All the early mornings, training sessions and hard work are about to pay off. Whether you’re chasing a PB, running your first race or simply soaking up the atmosphere, we’re proud of every single one of you stepping up to the start line.

The Tatton 5 & 10K is always a special event, set in the beautiful surroundings of Tatton Park and bringing together runners of all abilities. Even more special, the event raises vital funds for The Christie Charity, supporting world-class cancer care, research and treatment that impacts so many families across the region. 💙

A big shoutout too to everyone coming along to support, your cheers and encouragement make all the difference 🙌

🎉 One Year of Moveology 🎉

We're still smiling after an incredible weekend celebrating Moveology's first birthday 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who shared the day with us and helped make the celebrations so special.

A special thank you to Oliver from Running Bear Nantwich for coming down and offering FREE Gait Analysis sessions to our members. It was fantastic to have his expertise on hand, helping people better understand their running mechanics, movement patterns and injury prevention. We really appreciate your support and loved having you as part of the day 💛

A big thank you also to The Green Room Nantwich for hosting us throughout the day. It was wonderful to have a welcoming space for members to meet, chat and relax over tea, coffee and cake. Community has always been at the heart of Moveology, and The Green Room provided the perfect setting for everyone to come together ☕🍰💛

Over the last 12 months, we've welcomed hundreds of customers through our doors, built an amazing community, launched new services, shared plenty of laughs and, most importantly, helped people move better, feel better and live stronger.

Moveology has always been about more than exercise. It's about people, connection, confidence, health and creating a supportive environment where everybody feels welcome, whatever stage of life they're in.

We're incredibly grateful to every member, supporter, collaborator and team member who has been part of the journey so far.

"Working with Lottie has completely changed the way I feel about the gym. When I first got back into exercise, I felt lost and intimidated, and even lifting a 5kg dumbbell felt like a huge achievement. I was honestly scared of heavy weights and never thought I’d be confident lifting the weights I do now.

Having a personalised programme with regular reviews has given me structure, confidence, and motivation while still allowing me to train independently. Now I walk into the gym knowing exactly what I’m doing and what I’m working towards.

I genuinely feel stronger, healthier, and so much more confident in myself. I think Lottie’s approach is amazing for anyone who wants expert guidance and a structured programme without the cost of full-time personal training. Highly recommend!"

To all of the runners out there, don’t skip the mobility work

Logging miles is important, but how well you move matters just as much. Tight hips, stiff ankles, and limited range of motion can all impact performance and increase your risk of injury.

Mobility training helps you run more efficiently, recover better, and stay consistent for the long term. It’s not about doing more… it’s about moving better.

🚫 Avoid long static stretching
✅ Focus on dynamic movement instead

Try this quick pre-run routine:

✨ Glute bridges
✨ Walking lunges
✨ Leg swings
✨ A-skips or high knees
✨ 5-minute easy jog build-up

This helps:
✔ Wake up your muscles
✔ Improve performance
✔ Reduce injury risk

Keep it simple. Keep it consistent.

Member Spotlight: Member Spotlight Dan Octon

"I have been seeing Lottie for one-to-one sessions for the best part of five years, primarily to help with chronic knee pain that I had been suffering with for a long time. I used to play football regularly and go bouldering, but I hadn't been able to do either for years because of the pain.

Before working with Lottie, I had tried so many different avenues to improve my situation, but unfortunately nothing had really helped. Anyone who suffers from chronic pain knows how difficult and draining that can be.

Using my MRI results, which pointed towards improper tracking of the patella, Lottie created a plan focused on building strength and mobility in the right areas using a wide range of techniques and tools.

Every session was tailored to what I needed on that particular day depending on my pain levels, whether that was movement therapy, EMS, or deep tissue work. The range of skills that Lottie has, along with the services offered by Moveology, meant there was incredible flexibility in how my treatment was approached.

It has taken a long time to build up lean muscle in the right areas, particularly my glutes and VMOs, to properly support the knee, but all the hard work is starting to pay off. I now regularly go days at a time without any pain at all, which at one stage felt impossible.

My journey is proof that there is not always a quick fix. Sometimes you have to trust the process, stay consistent with the exercises, and keep putting the work in before the benefits really begin to show. Without Lottie's guidance, knowledge, and support, I would not have made this progress. I will always be incredibly grateful to her, and I would wholeheartedly recommend both her services and Moveology to anyone dealing with pain or movement issues."
