Sadie has the same attitude to fitness as so many people. Im glad youve finally found something tou can stick to, Sadie 💪
"Let me start by saying I will never be a gym rat!
I am lazy, I mostly hate exercise, I hate being out of breath and I hate being sweaty. I eat too much cake and drink too much alcohol.
That said, I have now been coming to Rob’s classes for over 10 months now, which I think is a record for how long I have stuck at something!
I have tried most things, other gyms, couch2 5k, squash, cycling etc etc, but I always get bored and eventually stop going once the novelty wears off because I can’t really see any results.
I knew I needed to commit to something because I am now perimenopausal and with a strong family history of osteoporosis, strength training is one of the things I can do to lessen my chances of developing osteoporosis.
I also lost some weight through diet and felt I looked a bit deflated all over!
For once I can actually see changes, I have muscles where I didn’t before and overall am more toned.
I don’t dread going because the classes focus more on weights and strength than cardio, and the structured breakdown into sets and reps means the time goes quickly and the hour is over before I know it.
Having a booked class keeps me accountable, and everyone who goes is genuinely lovely and I’ve never felt stupid for not being able to do a certain exercise.
I spent 6 weeks still coming in a sling after I injured my shoulder, because Rob kindly tailored my workout to lower body only.
So don’t be put off if you have any limitations or injuries, there is always something else you can do instead.
Would totally recommend to anyone who has tried a load of other stuff and never stuck at it!
Thanks Rob and Harry!"
