NG Floats & Elastic - Float Store NG XT Fishing Floats & Hollow Pole Elastic All NG floats are very strong and will last far longer than anything commercially available.

All floats apart from the Commercial XT range are hand made and brush painted by myself in my own workshop here in the UK. The best quality materials are used. Side eyes are glued in securely and on bagging floats a new type of spring eye is fitted that will not damage the line. I use a variety of materials to construct the float bodies including two types of very hard foam and balsa, these are to

tally sealed so it will not take on water. All floats are brush painted by hand with five coats, including two of a special "Hard Coat" that is unique to my floats making them one of the most durable available. Floats can be made with black tips on request.

Lets talk Elastic Lube🤩

I have been seeing a lot of talk lately debating what is best.

My personal opinion is don't bother, correctly tensioned elastic and a dip every now and again in the water is all you need. once you start spraying crap down the pole it seems to attract all sorts of dirt and eventually the elastic starts to stick.

Keep the inside of the top kit clean, cut them back far enough, (and this is important), tension the elastic correctly and you will never have a problem.

On the subject of cutting them back I would recommend using a bush with at least a 4.8mm outside diameter, 3.8mm internal. (that i sell), this will avoid sticking, you can then if using a thinner elastic insert a smaller bush the 3.3mm inside. Give the elastic a bit of air space and it will flow freely😎 See photo.

If you must use a l**e try KY Jelly, it water based and won't harm you elastic and clog the top kit up too much. It is also handy if you decide to camp out all night and share a bivvy with mates🤣

Let’s talk Elastic!

There seemed to be a lot of bollox being talked about elastic with everybody telling us the product they have launched is the best.

Let’s put a few things straight. There are handful of suppliers so the fact is we are all selling the same thing. You can make wild claims, stick it in a fancy box and charge more, have an army of sponsored anglers telling you it is the best but it makes no difference.

Let’s get on to cost, it doesn’t matter what colour it is the trade price is all the same.

Now the other thing I have seen floating around lately is you need fresh stock every few months or it will degrade, again it is bollox, keep it in the dark and you can store it for years.

Also I am reading some elastics come pre lubricated, again more bollox. Just use hair conditioner if you want l**e. Or if you have a bit spare KY Jelly🤣

I am one of, if not the first independent supplier of multi length elastic, one of the first to sell hybrid (only Matrix beat me) and the first to take on Daiwa and sell it liquid filled.

If I don’t stock it it is not worth having, I sell 2 types of hollow and liquid filled, also 2 types of hybrid.
