Llangoed Awards Night 2026 is done and dusted. A few sore heads this morning no doubt. It's been a good season overall and the lads were competitive all year. A quick rundown of the winners on the night.
Supporters of the year - Tony Bushill and Martin "Bobby" Williams.
Most Improved Player – Adam Henderson
Committee Player – Matty Morris
Goal of the Season – Wayne Thomas vs Bethesda Rovers.
Young Player of the Year - Ifan Kotkowicz
Managers Player – Dylan Jones
Joint Golden Boot – Llion Roberts and Marquis Holland
Players Player – Matty Owen
Most Man of the Matches (Player of the Year) – Llion Roberts.
Last night also marked the start of Owen "Sbo" Willams' 70th year involved with the club. During that time, he’s done everything at Llangoed from Ball Boy to Chairman. We thought it would be nice to commemorate his Platinum Anniversary on the evening. Thank you for your hard work and dedication Sbo.
Thanks were also due for Toeni in the Tea Bar, Mark who is the club groundsman and Safeguarding Officer, Rhiannon and Rich, Dewi, Vinny and Darren (and Jay) for giving up their time to coach the lads. Also, the Llangoed Community council are very involved with the club and support us throughout the seasons.
