S and D are not out on the bikes this weekend, but Billy is heading off to the 2 day trial at Earl Shilton Trials Club and representing S & D racing. Good luck Billy!!!! 👍🏻

This past weekend we were at the Tonfanau Road Races in North Wales. It was a good set of races for John and myself with very few issues. The weather was absolutely fantastic which always makes it better!

Thanks to Russ and Bailey again for the support in getting the bikes out there.

This weekend we were at Cadwell Park for Round 2 of the BHR championship and we had a bit of a mixed bag on results and performance.

First the CB350K4 - we have spent a huge amount of time locked away this winter building the bike and the weekend gave us some big learnings! Friday saw a few fuelling set up issues which went ok. It went out
on the track day for a few sessions and it seemed to be ok. The Saturday race day bought us a whole new heap of problems with a slipping clutch which meant the engine had to be stripped down a couple of times and it only made it out on the warm up laps and had to come back in. That problem was resolved and on the first race on Sunday we went out again and it started the race but I soon realised we had no 3rd gear. I finished the race but it didn’t go back out for the last race on Sunday as we didn’t want cause further damage.

Second, the ‘little bike’ ran great on Friday and Saturday with just a few set up issues. On the cool down lap on the last race on Saturday the engine blew. The engine was replaced on the Saturday night but it would not run for any of the Sunday races correctly.

All in all a very busy weekend and a huge thanks to Bailey Farmer for the hard work he put in over the 3 days. Without him the bikes would have struggled to get out at all! The beer on Saturday night was very well deserved!!! 🤣

Also thanks to Ashley Wilkinson Joe Taylor Shane Colbrook for the help and advice over the weekend.

Next weekend we are off to tonfanau, North Wales for the road races and we will give you another update after then!

This weekend we are at Cadwell Park for the BHR round 2. If you are in the area come and find us in the paddock and say hello! Tonight we have spent the time on the dyno to get ready.

Many thanks to everyone that came to our party on Friday night Montanaros Swadlincote . It was good to catch up with you all and we hope you had a great night!

The weekend for us though has continued in the fashion of ‘no rest for the wicked’. Here is a photo of what we start with sometimes and how it turns out after many painstaking hours.

2025……. What a year!

Some highlights from us this year.

First and second in the championship with John taking to top step honours. A huge achievement that has been a long time coming for John! Well done chief!!!!!

We had only one engine replacement for the whole season. For those that have followed us for sometime you know this is a massive milestone 🤣

We never saw the back of the recovery van once this season. This has been a bit embarrassing in the past as they make comments like ‘broke it again’ or ‘don’t worry we know where you need dropping in the paddock’ 😩

The CB350K4 finally saw the race track and managed to do a few laps at Cadwell.

Billy Fisher completed his first trial competition and beat older kids on bigger bikes to take third place. Well done Billy!

Little Dave (JJ Cousins) got a race license and raced at the Mallory Park E Bike track this year.

We want to thank everyone that took the time this year to come and watch us over grown kids at race tracks around the UK. We have enjoyed seeing you all and look forward to seeing you again in 2026!

Special thanks go out to Bailey Farmer and Russ Fisher for the time and effort you put into making this happen. We all spend a great amount of time away from the tracks locked away in workshops preparing bikes and we could not do this without you.

And that ladies and gents is a wrap! Our first race weekend of 2025 is complete and what a weekend it was. Thankyou Lydden Hill and the British Historic Racing Club. Hope to see you all in a few weeks time at the mighty Cadwell Park!
