A proper blast from the past...let's go back to September 2009 and the very first Team Lizard Motorsport race, putting our Nissan 350z and Steve’s skills to the test at Mallory Park.

We rocked up - Rosie, Steve, Mark B and some basic kit...including a tiny fire extinguisher that we carted everywhere with us (we were extremely scared of fire!), very much figuring it all out as we went along! There we were with the newly built Nissan 350z as our race car and our trusty little Toyota Aygo loaded up as the support vehicle. It wasn't the most the glamorous race team set-up but we were there with smiles on! 😂

If we're honest, we had no clue how this was going to go! Steve had always shown an aptitude for driving and eerily knowing what the cars around him were doing but in a real life race, on a real life racetrack...who knew how he and the car would perform?!

Unbelievably, we came away with not one but TWO trophies: 1st in class and Driver of the Day! 🏆🏆Woo!

Looking back on these photos now feels so sentimental (how young do we look?!?!). That weekend was the start of our racing adventures and, 17 years later, here we are doing it all over again. Different car, a few more grey hairs and hopefully a little more idea what we’re doing this time 😂🦎

From the 350z to the GT86… time to see where the next chapter takes us. Join us for the ride!
