CP Suburbs will be playing their final centenary game against Wales Veterans on Saturday 2nd July.

Just a quick update with regards to this event.
Still £20 (with £10 of that going towards Ty Bryngwyn Hospice )
Wyndham Evans is unfortunately not available, but Lee Trundle will be there instead. I need some definite sort of confirmation of numbers by this Tuesday evening of those wanting to attend. Thanks Andrew

To continue the Suburbs Centenary Celebrations the club held a Question of Sport Quiz night at the Shoreline Caravan Park Social Club on the 9th April.
The Centenary Celebration, planning has been ongoing since May 2021 when we came out of the pandemic and this was one of the highlights of the Celebrations.

Supported by Richard & Heidi Neil, with the research, questions and the technology to make it a fun event, we were entertained by several teams who took part.
In what would be described as very different and funnier than the TV version, in particular the off the wall observation rounds, and the miming , which produced some very funny poses and positions, our Quizmaster –and compere for the evening Duncan Jones played his part in the entertainment with his witty retorts throughout.
Teams on the night:
The Referees Society: – Non playing captain Colin Jenkins - players - Simon Downes, Alan Gray & Phil McIntyre
Superbs: Non playing Team Captain Bob Davies – players -Michael Davies, Gareth Jones & Wyn Thomas
Reds Vets: – Non- Playing Captain John Taylor – Players Neil Williams, Mark Davies, & Simon Rock.
Burry Boys:- Playing Captain David Bowen, Kevin Bohn & Mike Bevan
Dennis’s Darlings: – playing Captain Denis Hughes, Peter Laffan & Andrew Hall
Young Dumb & Handsome: – playing captain – Aled Jones, Chris Thomas & Anthony Evans

The Referees Society, became eventual winners, just edging out the Reds Vets in the final.
Over £150 was raised for Ty Bryngwyn on the night and this will go towards the money we will raise at the reunion night on the 14th May at the Selwyn Samuel Centre.

Our grateful thanks to Richard & Heidi Neil for the hard work in planning the night and To Duncan Jones for being Quizmaster, also to the Shoreline Caravan Park Social Club for hosting us, Colin Harrison for the PA, TATA Trostre for the Projector and much appreciation to the Rock Project for the loan of some of the Sound equipment

CP Suburbs have two centenary events coming up.

Saturday 9th April- Shoreline , Burry Port 6.30pm - A Question of Sport and Social.

We are also looking for a quiz master, so if you find yourself a bit of a Sue Barker then let us know!!

Saturday 14th May - Centenary Reunion Event at the Samuel Selwyn Centre at 6pm. Guest speakers to be agreed and will be out in due course.
£20 includes a very good buffet.

Keep an eye out for our poster in due course.

The other events are yet to be agreed.

Unfortunately due to latest restrictions and cases rising, we have made the decision to postpone the game against Wales Veterans until further notice.

Suburbs will be taking on Welsh Veterans on the 28th of December as part of their centenary year!
We will also be playing a memorial game against Pembrey on the 2nd of January in memory of Raymond 'Spike' Milligan.

Would be fantastic to see friendly faces again as last time.
