3 tips to help you stay on track this summer! ☀️

1. Set performance, energy and habit goals 📈 Summer is known for becoming Set a performance, skill, or habit goal. Summer can be associated with lots of physique goals, which can be daunting and trigger an all or nothing mindset. Try to shift some of your attention to feeling strong, healthy, and creating sustainable habits around activity, nutrition or sleep that you can celebrate alongside your physique.

2. For those of you who do have physique goals - consider pre-logging food and drinks you might have at social events 🥂 That way you can plan around them, so you still hit your macros without sacrificing your social life.

3. Stay hydrated 💦 The weather is hot right now - make sure you’re taking on extra water, and perhaps supplementing electrolytes so you can maintain optimal function, both inside and out of the gym.

You may have noticed a new movement in our next 12 week block: seated box jumps.

You might be thinking - why do I need to train explosive power?

Box jump variations are a great way to train explosive power, which is one of the most important qualities for healthy ageing.

As we get older, explosive power declines faster than strength alone, which affect balance, reaction time, mobility, and consequently independence.

By training it, you can reduce fall risk, stay and stay, athletic, and capable enough to enjoy the important small things, like picking up your grandkids without hesitation.

Don’t worry - we have plenty of variations that lean you can pick a safe movement you’re comfortable with 🙌

Keep your athleticism, keep your independence.

Welcome Sophie! 👋🏼

Our newest addition to the team is , we are so excited to have her on the gym floor.

Sophie has managed to build a lot of experience coaching and training in such as short space of time whilst still keen to grow and learn, her dedication and passion for exercise is contagious so having such a great advocate is important for us to inspire members.

Expect a lot of energy, smiles and support from Sophie. It’s a new page in the book and we’re fired up!
