Optimists Badminton Club, Liphook We play friendly mixed social badminton at the Optimists Club. - We welcome new players who have previously played badminton, and have a decent ability level.

Place: The Sports Hall, Bohunt School, Longmoor Road, Liphook GU30 7NY
Day: Every Monday evening except Bank Holidays
Time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm We do not offer coaching for beginners.

- Only £7 per session for guests or £65 each term (3 terms per year; each generally 15 weeks) if you become a member - Currently we are full, but taking guests.

- The first night is free to try out, and for the club

to assess your ability level.

- We were set up in 1979. We have over 22 members, ranging from people in their 20s to our veterans of 70+

- We play to a reasonable standard and to British Badminton Association rules but do not play in any local leagues

- The Club has its own committee and constitution, and we hold our AGM in February

- We have social activities, including a Christmas meal and summer BBQ

Please note, Bohunt school are closed due to heat tomorrow and therefore the club cannot play.

With another Bank Holiday coming up, the club is closed for a week, but we'll be back playing from Monday 9th May.

New players are still welcome, come along for a free 2hour session, and we're still taking on new members!

With a new term starting last night, we're looking for new players who want to join the club, get fit and have fun while burning calories!

We're looking for past / existing players with a reasonable / decent ability level to play weekly in mixed and mens / womens games for 2 hours.

Great evenings play with new guest players starting the new term with a push for new players.

Very hot but worth it for the 1000kcal’s!
