Haslemere Hockey Club

Haslemere Hockey Club We field 9 Men and 5 Women teams as well a thriving junior section of over 450 which caters for U6’s through to U18’s

Hockey players of all abilities and ages are welcome to join and play for one of our mens, ladies and junior hockey teams. Men's training is on Wednesday evenings, 8-10pm. Ladies' training is on Monday evenings, 8-9.30pm. Fitness training takes place from early August to late September, Monday evenings from 8-9.30pm. Our Junior sessions run on Sunday mornings throughout the season. All sessions take place at Woolmer Hill Sports Ground and are conducted by qualified club coaches.

Some fantastic results from the Women’s opening games of the season including three 5-0 wins 💪🏻

Worth mentioning the Women’s 6 are a new team this season and have started very impressively, well done to all involved.

Next week sees the start of the season for the rest of the club so keep an eye out for our posts on these on our socials.

League starting for some of our women’s teams. We will be hosting Havant Hockey Club Fareham Hockey Club and Gosport Borough Hockey Club for the first time this season.

HHC had two players representing England at the school games national finals last weekend.

Klara was in the England girls team that won the silver medal after wins against Scotland and Wales and a narrow defeat against Ulster.

Tom’s boys squad also had two wins (Scotland and Ulster) and one loss (Wales) but went one better with England taking home the gold medal 🏅

A fantastic experience for both players with Tom picking up a goal in the final game and Klara named as captain for the first game.

Lots of great memories to take home along with a pretty cool kit stash.

Nine HHC players in World Cup action

This summer Haslemere HC have featured nine players across six age groups in competitions held in Rotterdam, Brasschat, and Breda.

Highlight include; Jon Weait claiming Bronze for England in the Men’s O45 section, Mel Redman also securing a Bronze medal in the O55s and Ben Proudlove winning Gold for England Men’s O50s B team. The club are also very proud of Iain O’Neill representing Scotland in the Men’s O45s, Su Mattingly representing South Africa in the Women’s O60s, Al Shedden playing for Scottish Thistles in the O60 IMC competition, Matt Davis playing for Wales Men O55s B, Iain Lynch representing Scottish Thistles O65s in Breda, Holland and finally Peter Williams playing for Wales Men O70s.

We need to take a moment to congratulate and send out good luck wishes to one of our own Cleo Buirski. Selected to take part in European U16s tournaments and Nations Tournament this summer, Cleo will be playing at the highest standard of Junior Hockey and the highest by any member of our junior section.

After an extremely successful 2025/26 season, our Performance Squad are recruiting new players for next season 💪

26/27 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the Mens section with plenty of opportunities for those looking for enjoyable, competitive hockey while offering a chance to experience 1st XI hockey.

Our squad is welcoming to all and has a great track record of helping players reach their individual goals, whether it be TA, County or National Honours.

All of that alongside the chance to compete for national cup completions and a high standard of League Hockey.
