💦 Safety Award Qualification 💦

The Safety Award is the perfect qualification to accompany a swimming teaching qualification as well as being a great stepping stone into the world of lifesaving, as you can take this course at 14 years old!

Course Pre-Requisites
💦Be at least 14 years of age
💦Be able to swim 25 metres
💦Learners who cannot swim 25 metres must be capable of wading, and effecting a rescue, in a pool with a depth no greater than chest height
💦Be able to surface dive and recover an object from the deepest part of the pool

Course Details:
Monday 15th June - 5pm to 8pm - Online via Teams
Sunday 21st June - 5pm onwards - St Philips, Airdrie

💦 BECOME A SWIMMING INSTRUCTOR 💦

W are running an STA Award in Teaching Swimming Course on the below dates:

Monday 28th July
Tuesday 29th July
Wednesday 30th July
Thursday 1st August
Sunday 3rd August

This course is a mix of online theory and face-to-face practical sessions.
Face-to-face will be held in St Philips School, Airdrie.
You must be 16 years of age to attend.

💦 Safety Award for Teachers 💦

Do you have an interest in lifesaving?

We are running a 1 day safety award course at St Philips School, Airdrie on Saturday 19th October.

This is a one-day lifesaving course for those who require basic knowledge and skills in pool rescue and CPR techniques. This course gives learners the knowledge and skills to deal with poolside emergencies including basic rescue, first aid and resuscitation skills.

💦 STA Award in Teaching Swimming 💦

Interested in becoming a swimming instructor?

We are running an STA Award course at St Philips School, Airdrie starting on the 30th July.

Cost is £400

This course is the perfect step to begin an exciting career as a swimming teacher, teaching essential swimming skills, water safety and all four keystrokes to participants. Learners will be able to plan, deliver, assess and evaluate lessons for non-swimmer to Improver level participants.
