Kelso Rugby Football Club are saying a fond farewell to our Club Steward, Alexa Richardson.

Alexa joined the club in 2021 as Covid restrictions were being lifted. She has been ever present since with her warm welcoming smile and willingness to help all who frequented Poynder Park whether on match day or as a user of the Clubrooms.

On behalf of all the players, committee and supporters at Kelso RFC we wish Alexa all the very best as she moves on and thank her for all her hard work over the last few years, she has certainly played a huge part in putting the club at the heart of the Kelso community.

We are delighted to announce that senior player James Thompson will become Kelso RFC’s new Development Officer from Monday 15th June, taking over from Murray Hastie.

James brings with him four years of valuable experience as Development Officer at Duns RFC and has built an excellent reputation for growing participation and developing young players. Coupled with his strong connections within Kelso RFC, we are confident he will make an immediate and positive impact both on and off the field.

James will hit the ground running, working with local schools and leading preparations for this year’s Summer Camp, which promises to be another fantastic event for our young players.

Please join us in congratulating James on his new role and wishing him every success as he begins this exciting new chapter with the club.

Two different outcomes against Melrose in semi finals!

We were beaten by Melrose at Edinburgh 7s in the semi final, but we beat the black and yellows in the semi final at Walkerburn 7s!

Time for a final at Walkerburn and a chance to retain the trophy in the last ever tournament to be held there!

The squads are in for the last fixtures of the 2025/26 season, with squads heading to both Edinburgh 7s and Walkerburn 7s tomorrow!

At Edinburgh 7s, our first tie is at 1.20pm vs Watsonians, and the second tie is at 2.40pm vs Peebles.

At Walkerburn 7s, our first tie is 12:50pm vs Haddington.

A long old season comes to an end, let's go out on a high...
