Size matters⊠đ
Being a bigger runner isnât the problem.
Training like youâre 20kg lighter might be.
More mileage isnât always the answer.
If youâre carrying more mass, you need to respect the demands that come with it.
More strength to handle the load.
More fuel to support the work.
More recovery so you can actually adapt to it.
Iâm 90kg and Iâve run a 2:39 marathon.
I didnât get there by trying to train like a 60kg runner.
I trained to become a better athlete at 90kg.
Stop trying to become a smaller runner.
Start becoming a better bigger runner.
Weâve coached 100âs of clients to their first and their 10th marathons, 50% of them have been over 80kg and thought to get there theyâd need to be lighter, they didnât.
