Two weeks to go until we're back! 🏸

We're back in action from Tuesday 1st September, 19:30 at Honley High School.

If you're looking to join there will be no increase in fees this season, they're remaining at £140 adults, £70 under 18's and students.

If you're playing as a guest the fee will be £7 per sessions.

✨Presentation Evening✨

Last night was the 25/26 season presentation evening and AGM, and we bagged ourselves some trophies!

Congratulations to Samantha Jessop and Andy Campbell on winning the 'Top divisional performer' awards!

Also, for a huge TWENTY TWO YEARS running we brought home the division one trophy, a massive well done to everyone who has contributed this season!

As you're aware there's no summer club this season but we have put end of season do in a few weeks, see you there 🏸

Yesterday was our final club night of the season. Thank you to all members and guests who have played this season.

Congratulations again to the A team holding onto the title for another year.

Our club treasurer and chief organiser, Helen Armitage, is stepping away from badminton now the season has ended. Again, thank you for all you have done for the club over the last 30/40 years. It's time now to put your feet up on a Tuesday evening! ❤️

A huge congratulations to the Valley St James A team who have won div 1 of the Huddersfield Badminton League …. Again.
The latest result of a 9-0 over Kirkburton A , secured the title with one match to go.
A fantastic result for the team and the Club 🏸🏸

Another good result for the Valley St James A team on Tuesday with a 7-2 win over Kirkburton B team.
The men taking all 3 rubbers, the ladies was closer with the first 2 games going to 3 ends and KB taking the final ladies game along with the 3rd mixed game. The result puts Valley on top of Div 1

A round up of this weeks matches for the Valley St James teams.
Starting with Division 1. A team v Ossett - a good 5-4 win against a strong Ossett side with VSJ taking a ladies , 2 men’s and 2 mixed. The result puts the team back to the top of Division 1.
On Wednesday the Men’s A team had a 6-0 win over Beaumont Park A - well done Andy Campbell ,Awais Mohammed,James Johnson & Hadrian Clarke.
Thursday night and the Men’s B team had a rather different result against a very strong KB b team. Hadrian and James were back in action and Ali Allison playing his first match for the Club. The result was a 6-0 win to KB.
Although we were struggling to get a team together we were determined the match was going ahead and did our best under the circumstances!
