Exciting Times Ahead for the New Season

The upcoming season promises to be an exciting one for the club.

Our 1st XV will compete in Yorkshire One for the sixth consecutive year. This is arguably the youngest squad we have ever fielded at this level, reflecting the club’s long-term commitment to developing talented local players. With a clear objective for the season, the squad is aiming to become the GOAT team – the Greatest Rish Team Of All Time.

Meanwhile, our Development Squad will enter the league structure in Yorkshire Four, providing a fantastic opportunity to build on last season’s excellent form within a competitive and structured environment. This step represents another important milestone in the club’s continued growth and player development pathway.

There is a real sense of excitement throughout the club. With an experienced coaching team, several new faces adding strength and depth to the squad, and a talented group of players eager to improve, the foundations are in place for a memorable season.

Pre-season preparations are already underway, and both squads have ambitious goals for the months ahead. Supporters can look forward to some exciting, attacking rugby being played at Copley this season.

🚀 No experience necessary, all welcome….Have fun, learn new skills, make lasting friendships and build confidence

♥️ We are running free rugby sessions throughout Summer on a Wednesday from 7-8pm
