🔷️Soccerworld 5-a-side Tournament🔷️

Last night the lasses took part in a 5-a-side tournament which was a little different from our usual 7-a-side format — and what a great night it was.

The lasses were drawn into Group 2 and we knew this would be a test to the team having a smaller squad available to us.

The lasses battled through the group games giving their all and bagging a few goals on the way, making their way to semi finals.

They then came up against Cramlington, finished 0-0 and a nail biting end as it went to penalties.

Our keeper Jade made a great save and the lasses scoring 2 pens made it to to finals.

Final game was against our first opponents Lemington Ladies, finished 1-1 and again going to penalties, this time 3-3 sudden death and unfortunately we were beaten on the night.

Some excellent penalties taken which gave both keepers no chance to save.

A great night was had by all, and it was brilliant to try something different and in a 5-a-side tournament.

Congratulations to Lemington FC on winning the Cup and Bedlington Bellas on winning the Plate. 🏆

⚽️ Kick off at 1pm ⚽️

In the 8 a side competition we see them face teams from across the North East.
