Rutherford Ladies Rutherford Ladies is part of the great club Rutherford AFC. We were the first women's football team to be formed in the borough of Gateshead back in 2002.

We operate today with multiple teams from our 1st team to reserves & recreational football.

Huge Happy Birthday Agata 🎂

A superb strong player who will play anywhere asked of her! Sadly missed a lot of game due to breaking her collar bone in a preseason friendly but it’s been brilliant to have her back for the back end of the season.

We are doing a Handicap sweepstake for the World Cup at £10 per team.

As with any sweepstake you don’t get to choose your own team, they will be allocated using a random generator online. Doing it as a handicap allows everyone a chance of winning something even if you draw a team with lower odds.

Prizes are as follows ⬇️

World Cup Winning Team = £120

Handicap Winning Team = £120

Remaining £240 as fundraising to our ladies teams!

Young Player of the Year - Amaia Viejo-Hetherington 👏

An absolute workhorse whose introduction into senior football has seen her thrive and gain experience in many positions which has helped her grow as a player. Always willing to listen & learn seeing her come up against some experienced players and never shy away! Fully deserved award! 🏆

Player of the Year - Jodi Wright 👏

A player who will play anywhere needed and do brilliant in any of those positions. Always positive and has really supported the younger players over this past season! She is a well respected and valued member of the team who will always rise to the challenge and never shy away seeing competition which has seen her continue to improve with every passing game! A huge part of the team and fully deserved this award! 🏆

Steph Gregory 👏

Not only is she a rock at the back, with unreal pace that keeps us in games but she is also the heart of the team! She will always give her all and will do anything for the team whether that’s on or off the pitch! She really is so valuable to us and she deserved this recognition! Well done Steph 👏🏆⚽️❤️🖤

Couldn’t think of a more deserving player to win this award or one that it could mean anymore too! A player who for the last few season has fought with the idea of hanging up her boots but continues to be a solid rock within our back four! The mam of the team who has the biggest heart!
