An apology to our Under 9 side, whose fixture on Sunday morning was omitted from last week's fixture list. Our young side travelled to Blackfyne to face Consett Cricket Club, emerging as victors in a good competitive game by 34 runs. The side are on the road again this Wednesday when they travel to Washington before entertaining Ryton on Sunday morning!

This Saturday Swalwell Cricket Club 2nd XI entertain Bomarsund Welfare Cricket Club 1st XI at Derwenthaugh Park, with wickets pitched at 1pm. The bar will be open from 12pm, with Burgers, Loaded Fries & Toasties available 🍔🍺🏏

Meanwhile our 1st XI make the trip to Morpeth Cricket Club, with wickets also pitched at 1pm.

Our Match Ball Sponsor this week is Clive Lumley, who has a long association with the club, going back to the early 1950's, from his days playing Junior cricket for the club. We are indebted to Clive for his continuing generosity and support.

As with all Community Sports Clubs, we are always grateful to those who are able to support us in ANY capacity. This pesky weather keeps stopping our All Stars & Dynamos in their tracks. Once again this week we are defeated by the rain. We'll go again next week for our fab younger members and will continue with these sessions and catch up with the weeks we are missing at the moment!! 🏏👍😎 See everyone next week 🏏

Sadly the rain has won the day this miserable Thursday and we've taken the difficult decision to cancel this week's All Stars & Dynamos sessions. We look forward to seeing all of our fabulous lads and lasses back with us next week. Same time, same place 🏏😎

This Wednesday sees our 1st XI in Cup action with a trip to The Spa to face Shotley Bridge Cricket Club in the Second Round of The Tyneside Charity Bowl. Wickets are pitched at 6.00pm and the lads would appreciate everyone's support. 🏏👌👍 Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
