Gateshead RFC Gateshead RFC is an amateur club, offering rugby for all ages & abilities. Gateshead RFC is a Rugby Union club based at Eastwood Garden, Low Fell, Gateshead.

Our teams - Men’s 1st XV (DN1), Men’s 2nd XV (Candy League 2) & Women’s 1st XV (NC3)
Full youth boys’ & girls’ sections, mixed minis from age 4, plus mixed & Women's touch rugby. We pride ourselves on being a community club and have a variety of social events at the club including an award winning annual beer festival! As a club, we are always looking for new players of all ages, shapes and abilities.

Having built up a brilliant local touch rugby community over the past few years, we are delighted to announce we will be hosting our first ever ‘Touch Tournament for All’ this summer!

We hope this tournament will provide a great opportunity for players of all genders and abilities to come together and enjoy an evening of touch rugby, music, food & drink.

This weekend’s Durham County representation at Under-17 and senior level is a proud reflection of the strength of our youth system and the hard work, dedication and commitment that underpin it. It is an achievement the whole club can celebrate, and parents in particular should take great pride in the support, encouragement and commitment they have shown throughout.

Tomorrow the 1st XV host Darlington in our last game of the season, great to finish of the season with a fixture at Hedley Lawson Park. Kick off 15:00.

The 2nd XV make the trip up the road to Amethyst Park to play Consett 2nd XV.
