Fraserburgh Rugby Club

Fraserburgh Rugby Club All levels and experience or those just looking to get fit welcome. Male and Female from P1 to senior Well that goes without saying!!!
So what's stopping you?

Fraserburgh Rugby Club was formed in 2014 by a few local lads that wanted to bring rugby into the town to offer an alternative to football which is the most dominant sport in the area. Our home ground is at the James Ramsey Park Fraserburgh, we also have a floodlit training area behind the skate park across the road from the pitch for our winter training. We currently deliver rugby to all ages fro

m 5 onwards of all abilities and experience. Men's senior xv team for 17+ year old's who currently compete in the Tennent’s Caledonia North League Division 4. Seniors training Tuesdays & Thursdays 7pm to 9pm on the JRP pitch or floodlit training area with changing rooms available at the James Ramsey Pavilion, games are on most Saturdays KO 2pm or 3pm. Our Ladies section (17+) was set up in March 2019, starting of with 8 girls. We now have 22 ladies with consistent numbers each week at training! We are in the Tennents Caledonia North League Division 4, play games on a regular basis including National Development Days and training days. Our U16 which is open to S1-S6 male and females train weekly at our grounds on a Thursday Evening 6pm - 7pm. We are seeing increasing numbers for youth rugby and would love to see more to develop into further stages of our club! Our Mini and Micros is open to all P1-P7 male and females every Sunday 11am - 12pm (12:30pm for P4-P7). Again, we have seen great numbers after our success with our Development Officer attending Schools in the North Aberdeenshire area promoting rugby through training sessions incorporating different rugby skills and allowing them to work on their team working, communication and handling skills.

We also have a member who is heavily involved with the Grampian Clan Unified Rugby club, a team which allow players of any disability to take part and play with enablers, have a look at them on Facebook, please contact us for more info. So are you interested with getting involved in rugby at Fraserburgh? We are always looking for players of all ages or ability's there is no experience required! Or maybe you are just looking to get fit or meet some new faces and get involved with the running's of the club? Our aim is to create a club where the members can come and really enjoy rugby and most important, play the game with a smile on their face!
