First gala of the new season was the north district sprints at ASV and the 4 Broch kids didn’t disappoint with some great swims and some lessons learned.

Highlights
Oscar in his first north district gala had a fantastic swim in his 100 IM.

Bethany had a good Saturday with some strong swims with her best being a strong 50 fly.

Emily had a good Saturday with two strong swims with her 50 fly also being her best swim.

Innes had a strong weekend with a strong 50 front being his best swim narrowly missing the magical 30 secs. Next time!

Also good to see second club kids swimming great with Alexx, Morven, Jonas, Noah, Lucy Joy and Aston all having some good swims in this gala.

Thanks also to everyone who helped with time keeping and judging.

Well done everyone and good luck for the rest of the swimming years!

Great finish to the 25/26 with the Scottish summer meet taking place at ASV. We had 3 swimmers representing the broch and a few others for other clubs. Adam, Murray and Sebastian had 4 swims each and did fantastic. Adam managed to make 3 finals which is a great achievement’s.

Highlights
Adam had a good weekend with some fantastic swims. His highlight being either his 50 front or back in which he made finals.

Murray finished the season amazing with some great swims. His highlight being either his 400 IM (which he also pb his 100 fly) or his 800 front which he paced perfectly.

Sebastian had some amazing swims with some outstanding swims. His highlight had to be his 100 fly which he pb for the first time in a while.

This was a great finish to the season with club members at other clubs doing well, Aston, Morven, Sophie, Noah and Lucy joy having some great swims. Also great being part of a team north Aberdeenshire which supported one and other so well, well done everyone!

With the season now finished happy holidays to all and enjoy your time off and look forward to see you all start of August! Everyone deserves there time off🏝️

Well done to Sebastian, Adam and Murray for qualifying for this years summer meet. It takes place 10th to the 12th of July at ASV.

Sebastian - 100 front, 50 back and 50 and 100 fly
Adam - 50 and 100 front, 50 back and 50 fly.
Murray 400 and 800 front, 200 back and 400 IM.

Pb galore!

What a weekend in Inverness at the north district development meet with good pbs for the broch swimmers. 6 swimmers represented the club with Murray and Adam picking up 1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze between them.

Highlights
Hannah in her swim at the district meet came home with some fantastic swims with her 200 front showing some great pacing.

Alicia had a great weekend with 2 good pbs and here highlight being her 400 front with some good pacing.

Jayden had a great weekend with 2 good pbs with his best being his 200 IM with good pace through all 4 strokes.

Rylie had a great weekend with 2 outstanding swims and his best being his 400 front with some great pacing.

Murray had a great weekend pb all 6 swims with his highlight being him finally getting past the 5 minute barrier in his 400 front.

Adam had a good weekend with 4 great swims with his best swim being his 200 IM fighting through in a good race.

The kids did amazing in a competitive gala more or less pbing all there swims and learning new lessons.

Thanks to Shona and Brenda who once again judged at the gala and well done to 2nd club swimmers Alexx, Ashton, Morven and Sophie who swam amazing!

Education day

A good turn out to our nutrition talk from Maria Dow. Hope the kids and adults found it informative and helpful. Always learning!

Also well done to broch swimmers who competed at Scottish school final last Friday.

Dyce gala was another success with some good swimming done and some important lessons learned throughout. One bit of bling with Adam winning silver in the 50 back.

Highlights
Lenny in his first long course gala did amazing with some good swims and pbs. Hard to pick his best swim as they were all good, but I’ll pick his 100 brs.

Hannah had a good gala with some very good swims and her best swim was her 50 fly but the fc was just as strong.

Emily had a good weekend with some strong swims and new long course pbs with her best swim being her 100 fly.

Abbi had a good weekend with some good swims with her best being her 50 fc as she pbed it long course(with out relays)

Alicia continued her improvement with a few good long course PBS and she will be shocked to see her best swim was her 50 back.

Lastly Adam who had some good swims with some fast swimming. His back being his strongest swim.

Thanks to those people who helped with timing and judging at the gala, important roles to help with this he galas.

Elgin pineapple meet

Another great showing by the broch kids with some pbs, learning of race plans and a couple of medals to boost. Bethany won silver for her 100 Brs and gold for 50 back, innes bronze for 100 brs, Oscar silver 50 brs and Ritchie’s won gold for the 100 fly.

Siena Scott had a good weekend with some great swims with her highlight being her 100 front with a good pb.
Sienna Roy had a great weekend with some good swims with her highlight being her 100 front with a strong swim from a poor start.
Marleigh had a great weekend with some great swims with his best swim being his 50 back.
Rowan had a good weekend trying some new swims and learning a lot from his swims with his best swim being his 50 front.
Katy McLean had an amazing weekend with some good swims with her best swim being her 100 brs.
Katie Webster had a good weekend with some great swims with her best being her 50 back.
Bethany had a good weekend with some strong swims with her best one being her ever improving 100 brs.
Lucas had another good weekend with some good swims with his best being his 50 back.
Oscar had another good weekend with some strong swims with his best being his 100 front.
Innes had a good weekend with some good swims and his most productive being his 100 fly, good swims.
Ritchie had a good weekend with some good swims with his best being his ever improving 100 fly.
Jessica had a busy But productive weekend with some strong swims with her best one being her 100 back with a good pb.
Robyn had a good weekend with some good swims with her best being a strong 100 fly.
Eden had an amazing weekend with some great swims and some good lessons learned with her 50 fly being her best swim.

Ythan meet

Another great display from the young Brochers with some great swims and a few medals to boost. Murray won two golds and the boys relays team of Oscar, Jayden, innes and Murray won gold.

Highlights
Bethany had a busy weekend with a lot of swims but performed good with her highlight being her 50 back.
Lucas had a good few swims with some great improvements in times and technique with his best swim being his 50 back.
Oscar had a good weekend with some great improvement in technique with his best swim being his 100 IM.
Lenny had a good weekend with a fantastic swim in his 50 front with a good display in technique.
Jayden had a busy weekend with some good swim with his best swim his 50 breast in which he also won the hot heat.
Murray had a good weekend with some good swims with his best one being his 50 breat with a strong swim.
Alicia had a good weekend and showed more of her improvements with her highlight being her 50 fc with a good race plan(1-3)
Emily had a good weekend with some good swims throughout with her standout swim her 50 fly.
Innes had a busy weekend with some good swims with his best swim being his 100 IM.
Also not forgetting our swimmers who train with us but compete for other clubs and it’s Jonas, Lucy joy, Morven and Sophie having good swims and a couple of bits of bling to boast.
Overall a great weekend from the kids with good improvement shown.
Thanks also to the parents who helped with time keeping, judging and learning to star, these roles are so important for the running galas for kids, thank you.
