Introducing our Development Squad for the 2026/27 season!

💙⚽️ Development Squad 2026/27 ⚽️💙

Introducing our Development Squad for the 2026/27 season!

Our Development Squad has faced a challenging start to the season, but we remain committed to building a strong pathway for players progressing towards senior football.

As young players gain a better understanding of the demands of the women's game and the important role development teams play, we hope to attract more players looking to take that next step in their football journey.

Our current squad brings together an exciting mix of talented young players progressing through our youth pathway alongside experienced players who continue to enjoy playing while sharing their knowledge and experience with the next generation.

This blend of youth and experience is an important part of what we're trying to build, providing opportunities for players to develop their skills, gain valuable match experience and work towards representing our SWF Championship squad.

💙 Development football is about more than results. It's about learning, improving and creating opportunities for the future.

We look forward to seeing this group continue to grow throughout the season and would welcome interest from players keen to be part of that journey. 💙⚽️

🏆💙 DOUBLE NATIONAL AWARDS SHORTLIST SUCCESS! 💙🏆

We're absolutely delighted to announce TWO nominations at this year's ScottishPower Scottish Women's Football Annual Awards as published in yesterday's Sunday Post! 🎉⚽

🌟 YOUTH COACH OF THE YEAR – JEFF RIOCH

🌟 YOUTH TEAM OF THE YEAR – FORFAR FARMINGTON U14s

💙 A well-deserved recognition for Jeff!

For almost 18 years, Jeff has dedicated countless hours to developing generations of girls and women at Forfar Farmington. His dedication, high standards and belief in his players has never wavered. From youth to senior football and back again, his contribution to our club has been incredible.

⚽ And what about our fantastic U14 girls!

Many started their journey at just four years old through Mini Kickers, growing together as players and friends while welcoming new teammates along the way.

Their achievements speak for themselves:

🏆 2025 League Plate winners

🥈 2025 League runners-up

🏆 2026 League Cup winners

⭐ 2026 Scottish Cup semi-finalists - Saturday 31st October, Davie Park, Blairgowrie

🏆 Dundee West summer tournament winners

🔥 Currently FIVE points clear at the top of the East Caroline Weir League!

Competing at Tier 1 level, these girls continue to challenge themselves and make us incredibly proud!

It's not just about results. Several girls already volunteer with our U8s, inspiring the next generation. 💙

👏 A huge shoutout to the coaching team!

Alongside Jeff are Gillian Keay, parent, former player and previous first-team coach; Lindsay Stewart, parent and dedicated club supporter; and Nicola Davidson, former player and long-serving club captain. Together, they bring experience, commitment and a shared belief in helping the girls reach their potential.

This is what Forfar Farmington is all about — players, parents and volunteers giving back and supporting the growth and development of our players. 💙

To see our girls and one of our longest-serving volunteers recognised nationally is something special!

Whatever happens on awards night, we couldn't be prouder!

Congratulations Jeff, the U14 girls and everyone involved! 👏💙⚽
