Congratulations to our own Jessica McBride! 🏆⚽

Jessica was nominated for the Voluntary Action Angus Heart of the Community Awards in the Youth Sport & Activity Volunteer category and was announced as the **winner**. This award recognises the incredible contribution she has made to our club and her local community through her dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping others.

Since the age of 13, Jessica has dedicated hundreds of volunteer hours supporting our children and young people through football and sport. Her volunteering roles include:

⚽ Coach – Mini Kickers (ages 3–5) & Girls U8s Programme
⚽ Coach – Girls U14s Team 9v9
⚽ Supporting Football Holiday Camps and ASN (Additional Support Needs) football events with the Forfar Community Football Trust
⚽ Refereeing and supporting football festivals for younger pupils at school
⚽ Assisting club activities whenever required

Through her volunteering, Jessica has gained valuable leadership, communication, coaching, teamwork, and organisational skills, while building her own confidence and inspiring the next generation of players. She has also accumulated over 230 hours towards her Saltire Award and developed ambitions to pursue a career in sport.

Jessica is a fantastic role model who has balanced school, exams, football, and volunteering while continuing to give back to her community. Her commitment, kindness, and passion for helping others make this award thoroughly deserved.

Jessica a current player in our development squad was presented with her award on Saturday 6th June at Carnoustie Golf Hotel during a fantastic evening celebrating many other volunteers.

💙 Thank You, Ian McDiarmid 💙

After 12 years of dedicated service, Ian has decided to step away from coaching within the club.

Since joining the club in 2014 and supporting his two daughters, Ian has helped develop countless young players, many of whom now play first-team football at Farmington and clubs across Scotland. While there have been plenty of league titles and cup wins along the way, Ian's greatest achievement has been his commitment to helping every player reach their potential.

Coaching isn't always easy, but Ian has always stayed true to his principles and struck the perfect balance between player development and success on the pitch.

A special thank you also goes to Ian's wife, Claire, who served on our committee for a number of years. Volunteers like Claire and Ian are the backbone of our club, and without people willing to give up their time, clubs like ours simply wouldn't exist. As the saying goes, you get out what you put in.

Thankfully, this isn't a complete goodbye, and we're hopeful we'll see Ian involved in football again in the future.

From everyone at the club, thank you for your dedication, commitment and support over the years. We wish you both all the very best and hope you enjoy our small token of our appreciation. 💙⚽👏
