Hyperextensions,
A movement that can target different areas of the body depending on what you’re after - hamstring stretch hold the movement at the bottom and squeeze up with the glutes/hamstrings.

Movement you’re seeing In the video is more for lower back - as someone who Injured their back deadlifting this can either be a great warm up to get blood into that area for deadlifts or used as a standalone to help maintain strength to avoid any further injury.

As 2025 comes to a close…

💪🏻 it’s been a hell of a year in progression for my personal training business and thank you to both past and present clients for that. With this in mind I managed to make this my full time job.

💪🏻 I passed 1000 hours on the gym floor as a personal trainer, blows my mind thinking about just how many hours I’ve completed now and loved every moment of seeing my clients better themselves.

💪🏻clients have smashed PBs in the gym ranging from a 110kg deadlift to a 90kg bench and then losing 37kg in body weight. All amazing in their personal journeys. I think that’s what makes PT an interesting job - facilitating everybody’s differing goals.

💪🏻big goals coming in 2026 - get my own training back to a consistent level.
Delve into online PT
More consistency with social media posting
More clients smashing their way through a fitness journey.
Existing clients continue to smash what they thought were their limits.

Happy new year to you all and I wish you all the best!

If you’re looking to start pt in the new year I have a deal on for the first couple months. Message me on here or email me at [email protected]

🎅Merry Christmas everybody, hope you all have a wonderful time and manage to relax for a couple days. 🎅🏻

Looking forward to helping current clients continue to smash new goals coming into the new year and excited to have some new clients smash their way into a fitness journey.

2025 has been a great year for me and my personal training business, the year I passed 1000 gym floor hours of pt. I love getting to see people make progress and become better within themselves.

Diets.
Very few people actually manage to hold on to a “diet” they set for themselves or from their personal trainer.
Why?
Too much restriction and not enough balance. A diet isn’t about eating clean 100% of the time, it’s about having around 80% of your food from whole food healthy sources, the other 20% is foods that stop your cravings making you feel like you’re going crazy e.g chocolate/crisps/sweets.

Don’t try and skip meals because you’re “saving” calories for later in the day. You’re more likely to grab absolutely anything and binge on it to fill yourself up or give yourself energy.

Don’t save “treats” for a cheat day. Just eat chocolate when you first want it as you’re more likely to eat less of it in that sitting - this goes for anything “tasty” that isn’t great for you.

A word of advice - track your calories, eat what you want to eat and see if it fits. If you’re over, try and change 1 item per day to a less calorie, and more nutrient dense food. It’s not drastic change that’s going to shock your body and more often than not you’re still eating tasty food and managing your calories - ending up in a deficit and losing weight at a healthy rate.

Personally not a fan of the word diet as you can still gain weight eating salads - Just manage portion size and lower calories gradually to a rate that suits.
Calories in have to be less than calories out - keep it simple.

Pre workout.
A really good beneficiary for the gym for those times that you can’t be a***d. Gives you a bit of an energy boost to get you up and out the door to get to the gym and smash out your session.

Try and think of it as a tool to do that, rather than a requirement before every session as you become reliant on caffeine to get you there. “If I don’t have pre workout, I’m not going” is something I hear more than you’d think. Your fitness journey shouldn’t be turned on and off by caffeine.

The hard part is, they taste good, make you feel like you could take on a 500kg deadlift and you fatigue far less. However good that sounds, the more you take the less effect it has.

‼️There is going to be a new PT offer from me in the new year and valid until end of February. I’ll get the poster up before Christmas, get signed up before the manic time begins or even start before January and have a less guilty Christmas. ‼️

‼️Video is just a placeholder as we talk about supplements‼️

Do you need to take supplements - no.
Will they benefit you in your fitness journey - most likely.

1. The most researched supplement within the fitness world - creatine. Our body naturally creates this and its stored within the muscles - used for short bursts. However you can top this up by taking between 5-15g per day depending on your body weight/level of weight training. You do not need to cycle creatine, taking it everyday is completely safe.
The energy system within the body is named the ATP system lasts around 3-5 seconds and then your glycogen comes into play.

Not only can creatine improve explosiveness but can also increase muscle mass and strength output, with your muscles more saturated by water.

Creatine has also been studied to improve cognitive function, increasing functions such as short term memory & general thought processes.

2. Protein - probably the most used supplement in the fitness world as a lot of people think it’s going to make them huge when in actual fact it just aids recovery which then allows you to train again sooner.

This supplement should not replace food but be used to benefit your current diet and add in protein you may not already have.

The recommended in-take of protein is between 1-2g per kg of body weight and this depends on your level of training and intensity.

There are other supplements I will talk but in a separate post, otherwise this one will end up like an essay 🤣.
