And suddenly it’s over!
The 25/26 season has brought a lot of new experiences for our team, competing in our first u17 slams and Scottish junior qualifiers together.

Whilst this year has had its ups and downs, the memories, the lessons we have learned and the unforgettable experiences will forever stay with us as a team.
It’s important to see the bright side of things, to know that behind every ‘bad outcome’ is a lesson from which you can learn and improve off of.
This mindset has been a key focus of our team throughout this spectacular season

Though we know none of this would be possible without you, our family and friends, our supporters cheering us on from the sidelines, the amazing staff at Scottish Curling, and of course our wonderful sponsors 🫶
And a special thank you to all the coaches at Greenacres Young Curlers and all the staff at Greenacres Curling for putting up with us this season!

Team Bacon as you know it, will be returning for another year at u17’s for the 26/27 season joined by our new coach Jonathan Havercroft and we look forward to seeing you all there!

Under 15’s runners up!

Emma, Lily, Annie and Estelle topped the table after going 3 for 3 in their initial games

A tough final against left them runners up earning second place overall!

A huge congratulations to u15 Perth/Greenacres team for placing 5th, and u13 Greenacres for their amazing efforts today!

It was so amazing to see so many young curlers having fun and enjoying themselves today, and very well played to all who took part

This marks the end of our competition season, but we will be back competing again next season, and having just as much fun

Final Asham under17’s slam of the season complete!

After a tough first end against Cowie, we managed to bounce back, but unfortunately never regained the lead.
Our second game started off well , however team kay quickly learned the ice and took over leaving us unable to recover!
Our third game was tied going into the sixth, after stealing two ends off of team McRobert, but they were playing extremely well, resulting in our third loss of the day

Very well played by all teams!

Although the scores may not show it, we are extremely proud of how we played this weekend, holding our own against some very tough teams.

This however is not the end of our competition season, as we have one more game together at the under 15’s funspiel in Perth next Saturday!

As always thank you to our sponsors

Kathryn and Emma were at greenacres this weekend playing in the Haggis competition along with two other junior curlers!

A close first game resulted in a 5-6 loss.
They were then up against the English men’s team which contained our ice man / occasional coach, Colin Mouat!
A tricky game with difficult ice ended up with another loss for the team.
Their last game on the Sunday morning was more fortunate, with everyone playing very well leaving them with an 11-4 win to end the weekend!

Unfortunately, they missed out on qualifying by just one end

Not our day at Forfar’s under 17’s

We knew this competition would be a difficult one, facing a very tough draw and having a different line up due to players being unable to make it to Forfar.

The day did not go as we’d hoped but we still had a lot of fun playing and learned a lot from these games!

Congrats to team McRobert for winning the high road, and team Ward for winning the low road

We are back for the final u17’s slam in Lockerbie on the 7th of March with our full team together again!

And a big thanks to for subbing in this weekend and we hope you had fun!
