Knockhill for rounds 5/6 of Scottish championship.

Overall a solid weekend for me. Some mega battles through all the races. A wee issue on Saturday with the crossover exhaust bracket breaking causing the exhaust to be scraping and ended up wearing through by the end of race 2 on Saturday. All fixed up Saturday night thanks to the family for retrieving my spare exhaust from home and dropping off to me. Overall a solid points haul in the Scottish and KMSC championships. Ready for a few weeks off then head to east fortune for the Bob Mac meeting where I’ll be riding the Headzup NC30 again.

Qualifying - P2 (1.01.4)
Race 1 - P5

Removing Rubble Using Grab Lorries

Those undertaking building works, digging foundations or demolishing sections of a building, for example – might consider hiring a grab lorry as a cost-effective alternative to a skip.

We have six-wheel Grab Lorries, which can take around three skip loads (or 12 tonnes). Considering that prices start from around £200 for a six-wheel grab lorry, they are a much more cost-effective way of getting rid of larger loads than a skip.

They also take much of the hard work out of rubbish removal. Rather than having to load a skip, a grab lorry’s hydraulically operated extending crane can do it for you, scooping it up and depositing it straight onto the truck. And with a reach of around six metres, we can pick up waste over most walls and fences.

These versatile vehicles are offered as a cost efficient alternative to the conventional skip. Capable of accessing difficult areas and of working over fences and walls they also allow aggregates to be delivered at the point where they are needed.

Our fleet of grab lorries can be used for the delivery of aggregate from 1T to 12T and collection of inert spoil, builders waste, green waste, hardcore and concrete.
Lorries including a driver / operator can also be hired on a day work or night work basis at an agreed hourly rate.

We are known for our prompt and reliable service with our staff offering a “can do” attitude.

Had some pretty mega battles over the weekend on both bikes, started to learn a bit more and get faster on the NC30. Unfortunately one of the battles ended in a DNF but that’s racing. I decided to sit the last race out on the CB as there was a bit of work needing done to the bike with not much to gain out of it with it only being for club points. I decided before the weekend had started that I was focusing on learning more and getting faster on the NC30 to try progress on that. Overall though a good weekend was had and now ready and looking forward to kncokhill in a week or so time.

As usual a big thanks goes to the people that make it possible

East Fortune for round 3 and 4 of the Scottish championship.

Something a little different for me this weekend along with racing the CB as normal I also got the chance to race a wee NC30 in the junior post classics. First time racing 2 classes with a couple of the races being back to back. All in all a good weekend in both classes. Fairly consistent on the CB with positions and lap times. The NC30 was a complete learning curve having only ever raced a CB it was a total different ball game however I made enough progress on it that I was happy with managing to drop 6 seconds off my lap time from Saturday warm up to last race on the Sunday. Overall happy with all the results in both classes. A wee mistake in the last race on the CB nearly running into another rider at turn 1 made for a trip past the East Fortune “golden cone” which dropped me back down the field. Making progress every round is the main goal and closing the gap to the group in front is the aim.

First round of 2026 at Knockhill.

Tough conditions with strong winds and some rain thrown in the mix. Some really good racing and some mega battles throughout the first 3 races was mega. Wrong bike choice for the last race with choosing to use the wet bike which ended in an off at the first corner. A mixture of wrong bike choice and new rear wet tyre didn’t bode well. However really happy with the weekends racing, battling for podiums in the first race and staying pretty consistent over the course of the weekend whether it been wet or dry. A good solid start to 2026.

Qualified P4
Race 1 P4
Race 2 P5
Race 3 P6
Race 4 DNF

Pre-season test at Knockhill complete.
First run out on the complete new build project I’ve been doing over the off season. A couple little teething issues in the morning but once they were sorted the bike never missed a beat. Glad to be back spinning laps again and managing some good consistent laps around the same times as the end of last year. Few wee things to go over before we head to East Fortune this weekend for another test day.
