Oh my heart… ❤️
I want to share something a little bit special today, and I’m going to be honest, I find it hard to find the words.
I feel deeply touched by Andrew’s message and all the meaning behind it, so let me introduce him a little bit.
Andrew is one of our members Lisa’s dad who joined our 60+ Functional Training classes when we first started them back in July, and over the last few weeks I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know him and helping him with his training.
On 13th September, they will take on the 21-mile Edinburgh Mighty Stride Kiltwalk together to raise money for . ❤️
Strathcarron Hospice has been supporting people with terminal illness and their families across Forth Valley and North Lanarkshire for 45 years, and this is a cause very close to Andrew’s heart.
Alongside his training sessions with us, he has already walked around 240 miles preparing for the challenge. 💪
He has raised around £450 so far, which is absolutely amazing, but there is still time if anyone would like to support him and this wonderful cause.
Andrew also sent me this lovely video of himself singing part of “Keep Right On to the End of the Road” by Sir Harry Lauder.
He told me the song was written after the First World War, after Sir Harry Lauder lost his son, and he feels it sends the most meaningful message. ❤️
And honestly, listening to him sing it while preparing to walk 21 miles for Strathcarron Hospice makes it even more special. 🥹
All my respect for you, Andrew. Thank you for sharing all this. 🙏 I find it very touching and meaningful.
Wishing you the best of luck. I’m sure we can all support you a little bit, no matter how small. Every little bit helps. ❤️
It’s never just about exercise. It’s about helping people stay strong enough to keep doing the things that matter to them.
If anyone would like to donate, I’ll share Andrew’s fundraising link below. Every contribution goes directly to Strathcarron Hospice. ❤️
