One of our longest standing members proudly calls himself the OWNNIT gym dad. A man who thrives in the sweaty GASTANK sessions and never misses a chance to show up for an Upper Body gun show.

With Gary, it’s always a two way process, we train him, but he brings just as much back with his energy, attitude, and lends an ear for our future plans. Someone we can rely on.

He’s one of the biggest advocates of our coaching style and sets a powerful example for the younger generation in the gym.

Strength is the backbone of our personal training model.

Not because everyone needs to chase PBs or lift the heaviest weights in the room, it’s because strength gives us a realistic starting point for every single person who walks through our doors.

When training starts with strength, we can slow things down and our coaches can see where your need to develop.

We can focus on building confidence, competence, and consistency. There’s no rush, no pressure to “keep up,” and no expectation that you should already be fit.

The reality is that the modern fitness world can feel intimidating. Between big events like Hyrox, CrossFit competitions, and the constant highlight reels on social media, it can sometimes look like that’s the standard everyone should be training at.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, cautious, or unsure where to start with your fitness journey you’re not alone. And honestly, we don’t blame you.

That’s exactly why our lpersonal training model exists.

Our job is to lower the barrier to entry.
To meet you where you are right now, not where the internet says you should be.

Strength training allows us to individualise the process, progress at the right pace, and build the foundations that make everything else possible, without anyone feeling like they’re failing.

Exercise shouldn’t start with pressure or be unrealistic.
You just need to start in the right place, be reassured and with a belief that you belong here.

OWNNIT IN 2026 🧠💪

We’re heading into a 12 week block, which is always the perfect time to reset and build a solid base for 2026.

The bigger the base, the higher the peak 🔺

For those who love the training lingo, here’s how it’s laid out:

Weeks 1–4 | Accumulation / Muscle Building

• Higher volume, building tissue, work capacity and movement quality.

Weeks 5–8 | Strength Phase

• Heavier loads, lower reps.
Think 5 x 5, getting strong in the big lifts.

Weeks 9–12 | Peak Phase

• Athletes call it peaking we call it moving faster and lifting really f*cking heavy (if you’re ready for it).

Traditionally we test at the start and end, but this block we’ll be:
• Re-testing at 4 weeks
• Re-testing again at 8 weeks

This better matches the goals and energy systems of each phase and gives us more useful feedback along the way.

The program will be full body, with a there’s a good amount of single leg work perfect for anyone training for HYROX, and just as valuable for anyone who wants to be stronger, more athletic, and more resilient overall.

Meet Nicole, our Head of Community as of 2026 💫

We believe results don’t stop when you leave the gym and in 2026, Nicole is here to make sure our members get the most from their time with us.

Her mission?

To guide our SGPT members to clarify their goals, gain real direction, and walk away with clear, actionable steps to achieve them delivered with pure enthusiasm, and with someone who knows how to get after it.

We will roll out the red-carpet experience so every member committed to our SGPT services will receive support not only on the gym floor, but during the other 23 hours of your day too.

Each session with Nicole will include an in person consultation where she can discover what each member needs and help advise creating long lasting results

This is all part of our OWNNIT 90 programme starting in 2026.

Together, we raised an incredible £8,705.49 in aid of Maggie’s Centre Forth Valley 💙

This event was years in the making, we just had to find a time when wee Jo wasn’t on holiday & when all our schedules lined up😄

In all seriousness, we’re glad it landed in 2025, as we had the bigger gym, more members & more opportunities to do cool stuff.

We came up with the idea and ran the in-house events, but wee Jo was absolutely incredible, playing a huge role in organising everything and going back and forth with Battle Cancer/Maggies to make it all happen.

We ran two events , one in the gym and the main event at the SEC and both were nothing short of amazing day

Thank you to everyone who supported us, donated, competed, volunteered, and helped in any way. The generosity and community spirit were unreal, and we’re so grateful to every single one of you.

WHAT. A. DAY. 🔥

This weekend we took 40 OWNNIT members to Battle Cancer at the SEC Glasgow, and we could not be prouder of every single one of them.

We had a complete mix of ages, fitness levels and experience. For some, it was their very first event… but you’d never have known. Everyone showed up, pushed hard, and came together with one purpose: to battle cancer and showcase the strength of the OWNNIT community.

What makes this group special isn’t just the effort it’s the culture. We as coaches demand it, but our members create it.
Every level, every ability, everyone lifting each other up.

That’s OWNNIT.

And the results speak for themselves…
We’ve raised over £6,000 so far, and we’re still going! 🚀

An absolutely huge effort from every single person who donated, supported, and stepped onto that floor.

On Sunday 2nd November, we hosted a fundraiser ahead of our main event, Battle Cancer and it was hands down the best day we’ve had at OWNNIT since opening our doors! 🙌

So far, we’ve raised a phenomenal £3,936, with even more cash donations still to be added💰

With 3 weeks and 1 event still to go, we’ve already smashed our £1,000 target, but we’re not stopping there.

Battle Cancer Fundraiser 💥

This Sunday, 2nd November, from 7 AM, we’re taking on a big challenge in the name of battling cancer - 12 workouts in 12 hours! 💪

We’ve got something for everyone, with a huge variety of workout styles ranging from yoga, Pilates, cardio sessions, strength etc to choose from throughout the day.

We’re also lucky to have some amazing local businesses joining/supporting us to keep spirits (and energy) high:

For all primary aged children

🗓️ Dates: Week 1 Mon 13th- Thurs 16th
Week 2 Mon 20th- Thurs 23rd

🕐 Time: 12:15pm – 4:15pm each day

📍 Location: Ownnit Gym Falkirk

💷 Price: £40per day / £140 for the full week

Camp days will be packed with:

The reason you aren’t progressing could be this?

You don’t allow yourself a chance to pull back the intensity. You are always at full throttle trying to perform strength under exhaustion and fatigue of group classes.

Pushing your body to the limits, raising the risk of injury as you have no space/time to slow down, practise new skills & refine your fundamental movement.

Theres probably a good chance you are gubbed from too much high intensity, and pi**ed off your body or strength isn’t changing.

At OWNNIT SGPT we teach a better way and pull you back from solely focusing on intensity, we can give you space to think, and equip you with new skills, allowing you to progress & adapt through periodised training.

We’ve actually had people come into our gym and say, wow you allow rest? Madness I know. Intensity is great but when applied correctly!
