Ship Shape Gym All our memberships include free training programmes and instruction. With over 35 years experience Ship Shape first opened it's doors in January 1987.

We are Falkirk's longest established health club and pride ourselves in our commitment to our members. Back then it was called Omega Sportplex which was a family run business incorporated both the health club and Kobe Osaka Karate Club. Throughout the 80's and early 90's Kenny was pursuing his bodybuilding career and attaining his goal of winning Mr Scotland which he achieved in 1992. Around the s

ame time the Karate made way for the expanding health club and Kenny was solely in charge and changed the name to Ship Shape Fitness Studio. Ship Shape has seen many changes over the years with the most recent seeing the Karate dojo being set back with his brother Steven and Paul Lapsley doing the expert instruction. With 35 years experience in the health club market in Falkirk, you are in good hands.

A few major changes happening at Ship Shape Gym. Kenny & his family will be moving away from Falkirk in April. The gym will still operate along side of the karate. Any enquiries regarding the gym to [email protected]

WE ARE CLOSED - REVALUATE AT 3PM.
The gym was open this morning, but winds were pretty mild this morning at 0630. Massive change in last few hours and there is a real danger of falling slates from the old buildings around the gym.
If windscreen subside, then we may open late aftrrnoon/early evening.

The gym will be open as normal on Friday 24th at 0630-0730, 1000-1900. If the weather turns out to be as horrendous as forecast, then I may close early. If you are training after 12noon, then check on our FB pages or call before you travel.

If you are fed up of poor gym etiquette which includes others hogging equipment while spending ages on their mobiles. Too busy taking videos for social media than actually training. Leaving weights lying about or leaving bars loaded up. Being rude when you ask them how many sets do they have or can you work in with them. Sounds familiar?? Not at Ship Shape...... our members come to the gym to train and will happily help each other no matter what your level..... the gym is always tidy and you won't find people swinging upside down trying out something they saw on tiktok. Instruction and programs are free too.

Have you set any fitness goals for 2025?
Many people do, but they set a long term goal with no plan on how to achieve it and with an unrealistic time frame. You can have the best fancy equipment, plush facilities and a training routine/diet to follow and you may struggle to see and keep the results.
Don't underestimate the need to set goals, from short term to long. Don't go on a "diet"..... make some changes to what currently eat and think long term, not a quick fix. All our memberships include free training programs, free advice and I'm always here if you need my guidance. I've been training for 45 years and always happy to pass on my experience.

Ship Shape opened its doors in January 1987. It doesn't seem like 38 years ago.

Our new monthly membership fees with some options to include PT to kick start your training and get you the results you want.

Junior £20 p/month
OAP £20 p/month
Adult £28 p/month
Couples £50 p/month

Gym and PT
1 PT p/week £60 p/month
2 PT p/week £100 p/month
3 PT p/week £150 p/month
Train using your program as often as you like outwith your hourly PT sessions.

All memberships include training program, no joining fees and no contract.
