Thursday having 8 players and starting with bare 11 the day looked challenging, however 1-0 down HT the belief of the lads we got stuck in and brought it back to 2-1… 10/15 minute of madness Tops conceded 4 goals…but a very good quality Sidmouth team knocking the ball around well tired Topsham legs… but we dug deep and took a lot of *** RESULT ***

Just want to say massive well done today lads… Thursday evening I had 8 players… big credit to the new guys who signed on and were chucked straight into it lol.. lads coming straight from holiday & work to help the team….

Going 1-0 in at HT from a council pitch bobble we were unlucky.. Ray made some great saves to keep us in it… We didn’t create much chances first half but second half the belief we are still in the game and unlike the friendly when we were 3-1 down at HT, there were hell of a lot of positives to take from the game.. we fell asleep for 15 minutes and they came at us when we conceded 4 but soon woke up after water break *** RESULT ***

**** TOPSHAM 3rds RESULT ****

Well done to the 3rds today 2 wins from 2 games as they saw off good pressure from Witheridge 2 in the 2nd half.. good game of football from the 3rds and getting a goal from what literally worked from the training ground was good to see…. Plus subs coming off the bench to connect and get a goal..

Best of luck to Witheridge player who got carried off with what looks to be bad knee injury 🙏

Topsham Town 1sts 1 - 3 Ipplepen AFC 1sts

The lads knew they had to put a good performance in after Tuesdays poor result and they did give their all but unfortunately we fell short. We came out the blocks well and looked lively for the first 15 minutes but a chance fell to Ipplepen and they took it, first half ended 1-0 but we saw a lot of signs that we could turn it around. Second half was a good battle again but a foul on the edge of the area left Ipplepen a free kick in range, which they converted brilliantly into the top corner. They then scored a third not long after. We still plugged away trying to create something and we eventually got our reward with a penalty that was slotted brilliantly into the bottom corner by debutant Toby Martyn. Again a changed side with some players not fully match fit and some coming back from injury but a few positives to take from today as everyone got behind each other and gave it their best effort which we can’t fault. Onto the next.

MOTM: Toby Martyn - excellent showing in the middle of the park on debut and capped it off with a goal.
