A NOTE FROM THE GAFFA AHEAD OF THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON 👇

“Finally our league season starts tomorrow and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for us.

With this being my first full season in charge at Dons there will be pressure on us to be at the top end of the league but as always pressure is a privilege. East Budleigh will be tough opposition to kick off our league campaign, but after a really positive pre-season, we’re looking forward to getting going and putting all the hard work into action.

This weekend’s bout for the boys is against East Budleigh 2nd.

The two teams have had multiple face-offs in prior seasons and it’s always a very competitive game. The Dons have had a great pre-season, and so will be going into this game with the 3pts at the forefront of their minds

Brodie is one of the Dons’ newer additions, joining the squad after previously playing under the Gaffa. That existing relationship should help him settle in quickly, and with plenty of natural ability and room to grow, he’s a player with the potential to develop into a top player for the Dons.

Was the fear of facing the Dons too much?

We don’t know. But all we know is that St Martins 2nd team were unable to produce a squad ahead of tomorrow’s clash.

But the lads won’t be wasting the weekend off, with a training session planned in place of the cancelled fixture.
