We’re counting down to the new season with a look back at some of the best tries from last season.

This time, Archie Symons finishes off a great team move to score against Crediton II at Raleigh Park.

Junior training returns to Raleigh Park tomorrow, Sunday 6th September, as we get the new season underway.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone back on the pitch and getting stuck into another season of junior rugby.

Training times for each age group are now included, so you can see when your session gets underway.

New players are always welcome, so if you’re thinking about giving rugby a try, come along and join us.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 | 01

With the start of the new season delayed, we’re building up to our return with a look back at some of the best tries from last season.

And we’re starting with a good’un.

Back in November, Tom ‘Gerald’ Parker produced a bit of footballing magic to keep the ball alive and set up Joe Graham for the finish against Honiton IIs.

It’s certainly in with a shout for try of the season.

More of last season’s best will be coming over the next couple weeks as we count down to getting back on the pitch.

𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗢𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 | Our 2026/27 Colts fixtures have been confirmed.

After a couple of seasons without a Colts side, it’s great to have the pathway up and running again as we head into the new season.

Their opening fixture against Paignton is currently TBC, with our first confirmed fixture seeing us welcome Topsham Colts to Raleigh Park for our first Merit Table match.

The full season’s fixtures are now available to add straight to your calendar using the link in our story.

We look forward to seeing the Colts back in the green and black this season.

Join us at Raleigh Park this Sunday as we host our Junior Rugby Taster Day and Family Picnic.
Everyone is welcome to come along, so whether you’re coming to try rugby for the first time or simply enjoy an afternoon at the club, we’d love to see you.

Children aged 6–16 can have a go with our junior coaches – no experience needed, just come along and enjoy it.

Bring a picnic, a blanket or some camping chairs, enter our Bake Off Competition, and enjoy a summer afternoon with us.

The clubhouse and bar will be open throughout the day.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Taz Bricknell as our new Coach Development Officer.

Taz will work with coaches across the whole of the club, from U6 through to our senior sides, providing advice, guidance and support throughout the season.

Her role will be about sharing knowledge and experience, working alongside our coaches and supporting them as they continue to develop, grow in confidence and get the very best from their players.

As a professional rugby player with Exeter Chiefs, Taz brings a wealth of rugby knowledge and experience to the role, alongside her experience in education and coaching.

Taz is also part of our Ladies coaching team for the 2026/27 season, making this an exciting opportunity to have her involved across the club.

Most importantly, this is about developing our coaches, supporting our players and continuing to build the future of Withycombe RFC together.

Plenty of hard work, plenty of jobs ticked off and, as always, a brilliant reminder of the community spirit that makes the Withies family what it is!
